According to Willo's contacts Wilf will leave in the summer & for once I believe his cat!

Personally I can see him joining the Arse in the summer when Sanchez goes. He didn't enjoy his time living up North in Manchester so staying in London will appeal to him.

I will be gutted when he leaves although not as much as when Wright left but he deserves his chance to play at a higher level.

I hope he stays & I am wrong but the big clubs will be looking at his performances this season & will be bidding for him.

Too many glib comments on here, like, "he should leave", he's too good for us", he should be playing at a higher level" and "he deserves better". Shocking, are you really Palace fans? He is who he is because of being at Palace not despite being here. He loves the club, the club loves him, why should he want to leave. He would not be the same player being a small fish in a big pond as some have alluded to on here. He has a young family and is settled in the area, his parents are also here, he has admitted he is a family man.

I genuinely believe there is more to Wilf than an obsession to move in higher circles. The only scenario wherein he should leave in my opinion is if we get relegated.

The Le Tissier analogy is a good one and nothing has changed in football other than the amount of money on offer and that is certainly not a reason to leave Palace in Wilf's case. He has the opportunity at Palace to become the all time club legend as is Le Tissier to Southampton. For many players that is worth far more than moving to a club where he might not play all the time and is considered as just another player, etc, etc. The arguments have all been put forward on here already.

All this thread does is add fuel to the rubbish spouted by the crap journos who scour these message boards for click bait. Don't be surprised to see articles with, "Palace fans think it is time for Wilf to move on" shortly.

Every response on here should be, keep Wilf at all costs unless of course Barca want to swap him for Messi and then we might consider it
