The rise of a right wing party in Germany is a result of the damaging policies that the ideologue Angela Merkel has pursued. I think I fit in here, I voted for Brexit - most of those voting did too; I voted for the Tories in the last election and they got the largest percentage share of the vote of all the parties. So it appears I do fit in here.

Private companies go bankrupt if they are badly run or produce goods or services that consumers don't want. Public services go on and on fueled by tax payers money regardless of how inefficient, over-staffed and incompetent they are.

Why do you live in a country whose ways of running things you despise so much? Why not move to Cuba - real socialism there for you to enjoy.

You're missing the point on the bankruptcy thing: the need for essential public services doesn't go away if the company providing them disappears. It's not like Rover going poof; you can still get a car. If the company providing air traffic control services shutters its doors, there'll be a lot of planes bumping into each other in the air. Simply, a provider of essential public services cannot fail, hence the need to fund it even if it's failing...like the private-run ATC service.

I'm not saying that every public entity is perfect, that would be stupid and wrong. You, however, seem to think that any private venture is going to do a better job than any public entity purely by dint of being private. That too is stupid and wrong.

As for Cuba; I don't speak Spanish.

What a pathetic statement.

The Right is doing well in Germany because of the dumbassery of government policy.

You just about see to the end of your nose.

How about Venezuela? Their President recently urged his hungry people not to be squeamish about eating their rabbits. This illustrates the usual trajectory of socialist experiments - it begins with dreams of a more equal society and ends with people eating their pets.
But seriously, why do you live in a country that has the most hardcore version in the world of an economic system that you think does not work?

So you left Britain when Blair was in charge for 10 years? Or did you stick around and vote against him?

Also, the speak Spanish in Venezuela; the name kinda gives it away.

My initial impression is that I needed sunglasses to look at that clip.

So. Much. White.

Your first thought was the skin colour of the people, and not what they were saying or the content of their character?

That's a bit racist.

Nearly a quarter of the German labour force is currently on "low wages", which is second only to Lithuania in the entire eurozone.

Most of that cheap labour is concentrated in East Germany, where the left's failure to offer an alternative meant that AfD was able to capitalise on people's fears of even cheaper labour arriving in Germany and taking their jobs, despite East Germany having the lowest level of immigration in the country.
The two main parties, the SPD and CDU, have been responsible for this policy of low wages and now they have paid the price, especially the SPD (still not as bad as their colleagues in France or Greece). It's likely that the CDU will continue such policies, even more so given that one of their potential partners, FDP, is even more neoliberal than them.

Fair enough. The point being that you don't have to leave a place because you don't like how it's being run; it's a country, not a pub.

Why do you think people flee socialist countries like Cuba and try to get to capitalist countries like the USA?
