I still havent gotten over England blowing the last leg of my eight game multi bet against Russia when Rooney missed a sitter then conceded for a draw, as well as losing to Iceland which stuffed the four game quarters multi too. Roy was party to all that so at least Im prepared for his tenure, but it cant actually get any worse can it? Hopefully true to Palace form we pick up points where least expected? Now wheres that multi form? Long shot come on in....

To be honeat who has ever managed England very well in modern times?! Honestly England is a f***ing joke of a national team. So being a crap manager for England is just repeating what every other manager has failed to accomplish with them. England is the players piss poor attitudes, nothing else

What I can't understand is that if he is the only candidate why wasn't he lined up to be announced immediately and start working with the players Now he can negotiate from a position of strength to up the usual 'save us from relegation' bonus

We now look to a 70yr old who hasn't managed a club team in 5 years. I was disappointed with the start de boer made and he was far from my first choice but this is f***ing shambolic.
The mountains are calling & I must go. |

Croydon Roy may be coming home but there again not many seem to be pleased with Croydon Jason's performances

Imagine the euphoria on this site if the Southampton match thread shows the line-up sans Puncheon. He couldn't ask for a better start.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Roy will be fine! FDB Rabbit in headlights! ' by Guntrisoft Firtstly FDB just didnt feel right. Ive been to every game this season and regardless of shape, tactics etc he just looked distant! Warm ups looked flat, players not smiling, and no tempo around the place on the pitch or on the bench. Fitness levels also looked poor. He has been sacked before anyone can be proved right or wrong really. I personally liked the promotion of youth to the first team he was rotating subs from the academy excellent idea! I also like both loan signings and the idea of playing Wilf closer to Benteke and the goal. We also played very well at Burnley. That said weve lost to 3 bang average sides however you spin it, and playing wardy at wing bang and getting Hennesey to try and pass out from back when he cant is beyond nieve. I think we have to trust Parish that hes made a mistake and something wasnt right behind the scenes. It wasnt just the results, also Dutch players do have previous for being arrogant and cold look at their world cup squad meltdows from the FDB era. Although Roy is slightly underwhelming hell go back to basics, should have dougie, Lee or Lewington around him coaching. He apparently is a decent man manager according to Gerrard in his book and Danny Murphy on the radio both players I quite respect. Anyone in club management that long has ups and downs at varies clubs but his ups are pretty decent tbf. The England gig was awful and thats a little worrying but come on who has done well recently with England its the palyers and pressure they shouldnt need a manager at that elite level and playing for their country but thats another thread. Hes also a local boy! Were bang in the brown stuff but whats new give Roy a chance and cut Parish some slack for acting early and being proactive at least even if a dodgy appointment on his watch. Well neat saints Saturday and nick a point off Chelsea and be back nearer the pack in November. Lets just enjoy the Manc days out no chance ha,ha.....
