Where do all the hipsters go? Do they lock the doors of their loft studios or stay with their parents for the weekend? They are incredibly liberal but wouldn't want their man bags or designer hemp bags stolen. Not would they actually want anything to do with different cultures except in an expensive restaurant.

It’s a huge part-Hipster event these days - they will all be there trying to look more urban than they are.

Nice inaccurate stereotyping though.

According to Sky News, only the 97 arrests and 11 police officers injured after the first day.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

In comparison I wonder how many have been arrested going to see all the premier league games this week?

So if the stats are correct it's 35 arrests per million. As The carnival hosts 1.5 million so lets say 2mm to be generous an equivalent figure should be about 70 arrests over the 2 days.

As Sunday is children's day the numbers are normally low its today when the police have their hands full.

If you run an unruly pub or club which constantly requires police attention you lose your licence.
At what point will the carnival be deemed too much trouble?

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

It's not just the crime. The police are concerned about crushing apparently in recent years this has become a serious risk. Too many people in too small a place.

I have said for a while it should be moved to a open area like a park or stadium so the officials can managed the crowd numbers, no one wants another Hillsborough.

This is what they did in Brazil.

You would think he would have to make an appearance - however, it could alienate a lot of his support.
