I honestly think Warnock would do better with these players than Frank the Plank. We look in disarray is it 3-4-3 4-3-3 3-5-2 nobody knows. The players heads must be spinning. Correct , he would .

To everyone What ever view someone has if they write it on this site they will be belittled, be called names. Palace fans on this site are very small minded people, and only believe in their own views, right or wrong. In all honesty two league matches aren't enough to decide whether our manager will make the grade or not and anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool. There is a third option and that is to wait and see after all the second match was a great improvement over the first so let's see what happens this weekend

Correct , he would . No he wouldn't. He couldn't ( by his own admission) deal with the EPL & nothing's changed. It amazes me that folk bang on about us having better players than before ignoring the fact that so do all of our opponents. Every EPL club improves their squad year on year which is why having better players doesn't really mean a thing and simply doing what you did last season is the equivalent of going backwards in this league. We cannot rely on 'shock' results against the big boys but need to sort our home form against those around us - we've been awful at Selhurst for years now & sticking with counter-attacking football won't fix it. Even Sam said so....
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

There are a lot of predictions there and i think it is way too early to determine where the club will be, and who will be manager. I admit i am not keen on Freedman coming back to the club for many reasons, but the main one is that he is useless. If he had cracked it at Bolton or Notts Forest do you think he would be darkening our door again? Lets see where we are come November then everyone can spit their dummies out if they want to...

All clubs try and improve their squads year on year but not all succeed due to a variety of factors including injuries to key players and players not turning out to be quite as successful as hoped. We have quite a few examples of the latter including players like Bamford, Sanogo, Mutch and Sako for example

Whilst Freedman is 'Sporting Director' I don't know what this role is at our club and what are the 'TORs' that Freedman is working under.Perhaps I will get a better idea later today. A 'Sporting Director' role at our club can differ from such a role at another club and this also is applicable for 'Director of football', 'Technical director' etc etc.

I work with a few people I wouldn't trust to spell their own names correctly. I wouldn't say Freedman was "useless" as a Director of Football, but (and because) he's certainly unproven in that kind of role; although with his having been toilet as a manager, it is reasonable to think of this as a risk. And this being a place full of glass-half-empty pessimists that is likely to translate into English as "s***e". Edited by chateauferret (26 Aug 2017 9.46am)

Fantastic player, but as a manager forget it. As for a Director of football, what is all that about, was it a trend that came about a decade ago? Could you imagine Brian Clough having a Director of football?

No but I couldn't imagine Brian Clough being successful as a manager in the modern world either

He isn't Director of Football, he was appointed as Sporting Director, there is a world of difference.
