He was rated for his skill, energy, goals and potential. A penetrative winger with the ability to move inside and know which foot to use! Just like Wilf, he moved on much too early. Now he'll be back in the UK and keen to make a point. Lucky Pulis!

In the championship...then went to a top european league and bombed...potential doesnt mean anything unless it's realised. I'd have been happy for him to have signed but its no great loss when you have Townsend and Wilf...he'd have likely had to play wing back or sub for most of the time as a result.

Januzaj, Delefeou, Lingard, all bright young things, and all better than Wilf, or so we were told. Hopefully it does work out for the Baggies, but still a big risk for the money. Could not hold down a starting place in a Bundesliga side. Would rather keep our powder dry for a basic + add ons deal for Mamadou - who we know from experience is less of a risk. Plus a goalie and a back-up striker please.
