Did i miss something at the game yesterday?

My overal impression was that we played well and we're solid at the back. Obviously apart from Danns suicide pass. But one pass aside, I thought we looked solid?

I'm questioning this as maybe others saw it differently as there seems to be people thinking we're going to get relegated unless we change.

And well from yesterday's account I just don't see it?

Am I wrong and did we actually look poor?

By HOL standards I think the reaction has been positive enough.

From what I've seen in pre-season, I think Huddersfield are going to have to be 100% fired up or we're going to dominate them.

[biggerThe last five minutes of the 1st half were also dodgy. Townsend and Mili got caught out of position and Punch was left 1 on 2 which led to the first goal. In the 2nd half, I thought we were better with a back three of Dann, Tompkins & Jairo with Ward on as wing back and Townsend forward. That's not to say Loliko didn't impress, which he did.

I think we looked vulnerable at the back; several times the offside trap saved us and on one or two occasions they should have scored. Other then that there were good signs in the second half that we're not solely dependent on Zaha for an attacking threat.

Isnt that what offside traps are supposed to do?

That is - even so I'm not 100% comfortable with Dann keeping a high line. The few times someone brakes the offside trap, they only have him to outrun.

This never happened. Tompkins replaced Jairo..

Plus the other two center backs depending their positions?

Almost certainly only ever one CB - long balls and through balls are almost always going to be played into areas where there is space.

I also see it that way. However, hopefully the gaps will be closed by three centre halves and not a midfielder filling in.

Is there any chance that Frank knows that Ward can play RB/RWB so is testing Andros out and giving Lokilo game time. Could be the same with Luka playing CB, giving him game time there knowing from training that Dann and Tomkins don't need the pre season games as much. Not saying this is definitely the case but something to think about.
