He got away with murder last time we played and he got away with murder again today. I thought Rojo was good at getting away with disgusting challenges but this guy's a master.

Got into a bit of a mess on their second. Can't say I've seen enough based on this. No Tomkins or Cabaye and Loftus-Cheek is getting a brief look. FdP seems to be trying to see his first XIs stamina under challenging conditions.

Agreed with those saying it's the first friendly, but it's also the first chance he's had to see the squad up against real opposition. His first practical chance to really start assessing what he needs.

Joel Ward cannot play. Bissaka looks decent with the ball at his feet, wilf quoted as saying he doesn't like playing against him because he's too tenacious - always a good sign for a full back when wilf don't like playing against them.
