Keeping everything crossed That was what I figured but the story about already agreeing personal terms could equally have been leaked by Liverpool to attract a bid from other clubs. It's a bit strange that we've made no offers at all as of yet. If I remember correctly there was a bit of a gap between our first and second offers for Benteke.

After joining the Eagles in January on loan, Sakho eventually became a pivotal part of the Palace defence as he helped the club avoid relegation. The 27-year-old only managed to make eight appearances before picking up a knee injury that cut short his season. He was unable to recover in time to play any more minutes of action but Palace's board have been trying to finalise a deal for the last few weeks. Reports now claim the two clubs are close to agreeing a fee and Sakho is now expected to travel back to Selhurst Park to begin talks and have a medical. Although both boss Frank De Boer and chairman Steve Parish had poured cold water on rumours, the former Paris Saint-Germain star appears ready to move on after a difficult few years at Anfield. Liverpool were thought to want around £30million for the centre-back but Palace had hoped to secure him for cheaper.

Liverpool have named their selling price to every club that wants to buy him not just us and it's not as if we wouldn't do exactly the same in their position as Marseille would claim that we are trying to do exactly the same with Mandanda although the scale is lower. Before accusing clubs of trying to rip us off don't forget how surprised everyone was here this time last year when Bolasie was sold for a fee much larger than we though he was worth

If personal terms have been agreed that's a good start. I am sure that Liverpool would rather shift the rumoured £70-80k wage that Sakho earns if they cannot find any buyers at £30m!
