I'm not arguing whether you are a Palace fan or not, but given that you don't usually partake in predictions, what made you start for this particular game? Was it just to wind everyone up (which you seem to have achieved)?

Not here to wind up at all just pointing things out and I'm probably predicting this result as it is probably the most significant game in some time for palace (barring the moan u cup final of course) but believe me there isn't a day when I don't fret over palace's league status and future of the club

Arrogance may have been apparent during the previous manager's tenure but over the last three months we've looked more nervous and struggling for ideas to break down supposedly weaker teams at home.

If we can't at least get a point from this game we deserve to go down. No excuses, all teams have injuries, we are no exception. We are our own worst enemy in reality. Think of the points we've dropped over the course of the season, the loss to Sunderland, missed penalties against WHU and Watford, the injury time loss at Burnley! Our home form is the worst in the premiership but we need to forget that on Sunday and knuckle down.

Hull won't be easy by any means especially if they score first (heaven forbid).

Predicting 0-0 or 1-1. But that's enough!

Because of not needing a win this should be a perfect opportunity to dictate the game. We can be patient, time waste, keep possession in favour of getting the ball up front quickly.

These are expensively paid professionals. Yes, I know they are human beings too, but surely we can play the right tactics for 90 minutes - and we've had seven days rest.

All of the above are the reasons we are where we are.

There was a sparkling run which pulled us out of trouble but recently, we've reverted to "rabbit in headlights" mode.

The key to today will be keeping the scoresheet clean but we don't do well at home when the opposing team scores first.

I shall be keeping my fingers very tightly crossed and hope we turn up!

I agree with you, but (if there was any criticism of Ssm intended) injuries would seem to be the reason.

The change in fortune coincides with some good purchases to shore us up at the back. The reversion to type is due to the fact that injuries have rendered the backline tricky again.

This shows how much work we have to do in the summer.

This....it's not arrogance, we just can't beat teams who sit back and defend against us. Hull will have to attack us which should suit us.

Palace will really have to be on their game today. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I’m expecting to see a few strange decisions today in favour of the opposition (not for the first time). Sky and BT won’t want Palace to win because if we do, all next Sunday’s matches will effectively be dead rubbers. The title has been sown up and, if Palace win, so will the relegation situation, but if Hull win, there will be three teams in the mix on the last day.

Don't worry people, we can all relax. I have sorted out our problems.

You see after the Liverpool game I got greedy. Not only was I enjoying Zaha's and Benteke's hot form for Palace, but I also wanted to reap the rewards of having them in my fantasy team. My eyes lit up with the prospect of a double game week, handing the captaincy to Wilf etc. The inevitable 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 clean sheets, 0 wins then followed.

I've now removed them both after realising the error of my ways, so I fully expect them to fire us to glory and bag us 6pts in the next two games. Here's to 44pts and 'what was all the panic about?'.

That has to be rubbish. If it is not then we may as well all stop watching football. It is a level playing field - if we play like we can then we will be OK.

Have faith.
