how on earth can be complain about these two signings? We only have one full back and he's not been playing well. We had a second who was ok but he's out for months.

I feel we are to get this PVA fellow that he is good but buying a defender from a team at the bottom of the league does not fill me with much confidence. I hope BFS knows what he is getting, if the deal goes through

I was also lucky enough to be at the Reebok Stadium in the 97/98 season to see Gordon score another absolute belter against Bolton. I'm pretty sure it's on YouTube. Have to agree with Willo that Gordon was so one footed it was ridiculous. He literally could not kick a ball with his right foot. But he was the first modern day full back that Palace ever had. He was superb going forward and could hit a ball like a rocket. Edited by kennybrowns leftfoot (23 Jan 2017 11.31pm)
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

So this has been 'close' now since Sunday, with many believing that it would be announced Monday only because nothing can be officially done on Sunday's. It's now Tuesday and no movement. Why is it when other teams are close it's announced that evening but when it's Palace our version of close is 5 wage discussions with the Agent and 2 weeks away? Hopefully this gets announced today or tomorrow at the latest. On the bench for City, starting 11 for Bournemouth.

My guess is that because people on this site trawl social media and other avenues looking for snippets of information that the rest of us can't be bothered to search for (it is much appreciated by the way, no slur intended), we get to hear about it far earlier, which means that it seems like a long time. I am sure that if we supported scunthorpe then it would be a similar story.
