Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Now, IF Pardew revives our fortunes and we improve to the extent we make progress up the table will all those who are calling for his head say that they were wrong in doing so ?

Christmas last year until end of last season 2 PL wins is that an improvement? In our last 8 league games last season we drew at W.Ham and Arsenal, beat Norwich and Stoke at 'Home' and of course were in the FA Cup final so there was a certain "Feelgood factor" around. This season we won 3 on the bounce and this was followed by a good draw at Everton so the "Feelgood factor" returned. However the last 4 games have seen it vanish rapidly ! Supporters are thinking back to the dismal results since the turn of the year to the end of the season and now thinking "Here we go again" hence the antipathy towards Pardew. 31 points from 18 games in his first season and only 17 points from 19, over the same period, in his second one. It doesn't matter how you slice it, he ain't on an upward trajectory.

I acknowledged tang earlier but that comment you've highlighted was of course in response to Den quoting the second half of last season as improvement which clearly wasn't and was unacceptable. He certainly needs to improve and it does seem like time is running out but I don't think the atmosphere and style of play at the moment is such that we should be panicking. Yet

Medway Who do you feel is better that we could reasonably attract ? At the end of the day we might be PL but we are not exactly a big attraction so certain "Big" managers would not even consider us.We have to be realistic.

Willo I really don't think we can attract a top manager, But think maybe we would attract and up and coming Championship Manager or someone from abroad, I don't have the answer to that question, But have faith in the board and SP to act soon, I am not a AP hater just passionate about my team and all the hard work put in by Parish and the board. I think Big Sam would be a step backward. If i thought we would survive under AP i would not of started this thread, My thread is about Palace survival not AP, It took a long time to get here and i want us to stay here

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
