All I am saying to Willo and anyone else for that matter, that there is no point repeating an argument over and over again in pursuit of "winning" an argument.

There comes a point in every debate where it is futile to carry on because of entrenchment.

I believe we reached that point days ago on this thread.

Shocking load of bollox Hoof, you joined in with the crowd to tell Willo hes wrong, hes discredited himself and he should reconsider his opinion. Nowhere did you suggest anyone else was wrong or that anyone else should change their opinion. To follow it up with the above is about as disingenuous as it gets. And so it sinks in,i think Willo has a far greater understanding of the Moss incident than anyone else involved in this discussion.

Why do you constantly repeat the same argument?

Saying things over and over again won't wear any of us down or change our opinion of Moss or Clattenburg.

I am a qualified referee and have a very close friend that is also fully qualified. Both of us agree that Moss and Clattenburg are inconsistent in the way they apply the laws. Both have ego problems although Moss' is to a lesser degree, but he has fitness issues and regularly makes decisions from too far away from the incident and appears to guess.

Please don't respond with the same tired arguments and mantras that you usually resort to.

My father taught me that it was noble to stick to your guns, but when everyone else disagrees with you, maybe it's time to re-evaluate your position and rethink it.

You are so out of touch on this matter as you have painted yourself into a corner and your credibility is less than zero.

Fourth time ive heard you using the "qualified ref" statement in the hope of adding weight to your opinion. Trust me its wearing me down so maybe Willo is just following your lead Hoof

Absolutely !

I am more than happy to engage in debate free of any bitterness and rancour. We might have different viewpoints but we can argue our case in a sensible and mature fashion without the need for any personal slurs.

People on here think I defend referees through "Hell and high water" just to antagonise but all I try and do is to see it from a referee's standpoint and indicate why I think he made an error if indeed I think an error was made.Referees are only human and as such will err from time to time - some will go in our favour and some will go against us.

Ffs if willo/ Trolly comes on here everything time a ref f***s up and defends said ref he is gonna get reactions.
That's why he does it, it's not bullying it's getting f***ed off with his constant bollock sprouting all the time.
Jon Moss f***ed up that descion at Everton, and clattenc*** f***ed up twice in the cup final,
And he has defended them all the way.

Total and utter hogwash.
I have been an avid Palace supporter since the 60s and have only lived on the south coast for a couple of years.

This isn't where you let yourself down. It was a mistake and a costly mistake becuase they scored. There isn't any denying that...

It matters not if the wall jumped or not, it could have been the goal of the season freak kick or a fumble by the keeper. The fact is it shouldn't have been a direct free kick.

Ex refs are saying he got it completely wrong, and that he makes wrong decisions monthly and that he should be dropped.

But you defend him becuase our wall didn't jump...

Obviously refs make mistakes, but when other refs come out and say the guy constantly f***s up. Really Willo it's not the time to defend him.

And I'm beginning to formulate the opinion that you are most likely an ex redcarded Hol member with a grudge who is in danger of giving yourself away to the Mods. Your MO is very similar to a high profile argumentative ex Hol member.

Anyway for the record I only ever mention being a qualified ref when someone like Willo criticises people's opinions by banging on about them not being a qualified referee and therefore unable to understand the pressures of being a ref. So rather than adding weight to my opinion it was designed to shut Willo up.

You talk also about him being bullied, but in his own way he attempts to browbeat people into submission with his tactics and you are just sh!t stirring for a wind up too.

As I said before, the debate became futile days ago and the topic should be locked.

I have a nose for this sort of thing.

Formulate what you want mucka,i am not a high profile kind of bloke I am just opinionated in the same way you are.The bullying reference was a loose one as its an online forum used by football supporters, not kids on Facebook. As I said,Willo does my nut in sometimes but I take each subject individually wherever possible and in this case I believe Willo has a better perspective than most other contributors. That doesn't make me or him right, but the comment you made was both self-important and contradictory imo and like you I will say so.And as ive said a couple of times, unless Moss explains what he saw and why he made the decisions he made then its simply conjecture.Reading Willo's comments on this incident I felt like that was his stance as well and while I really really don't agree on his defence of Clattenburg that is a separate issue on a thread entitled Jon Moss.Am I surprised it turned into another Willo v People Clattenburg thread, not at all but I like to think I am in the right by not getting involved in that on this particular thread. You've thrown numerous personal accusations around just on this thread at both me and Willo one of those being that in your opinion I have a grudge.Well if its "cards on the table" time in my opinion you have let the Hol Poster of the Year feed your ego a little too much. But like this whole thread its all about personal interpretation of whats put in front of you and no-one is ever right all of the time.

You definitely seemed to have a grudge... you started the aggression, not just towards me on this thread, but you've been trolling others on various threads and trying to make their lives on here uncomfortable but I accept it takes two to tango.

Most people on here know me to be a fair bloke and a bit of a laugh... the Hol POTY award was a p1sstake by jamie and pretty much everyone knows it - I celebrated it with tongue-in-cheek enthusiasm for a laugh but would have been happier with Funniest Poster award - others deserved it more than me and people actually voted in that category.

You know Willo is winding up people and it might suit you to support him - be honest and admit it if that is the case?

You said I had mentioned and was boring everyone about being a ref 4 times previously, but that wasn't true. Without checking I'm sure I've only said it once on this thread and again a while ago about Clattenburg... but only said it to shut up Willo, not to big myself up.

Willo on the other hand is definitely over double figures on his statement about the wall not jumping. If he was a genuine poster (he isn't as we are all 99.99% sure he is Trolley from the BBS as his key stories of meeting famous people are absolutely word for word the same ones) then you could dismiss him as a kindly forgetful bloke and move on.

But, I suspect he has an agenda and gets some weird kick out of hoodwinking everyone on here. He knows that supporting both Clattenburg and Moss irritates people and yet he continually does it. He doesn't need encouragement.

To finish I agree with you wholeheartedly on that one end point... no one is right 100% of the time and this thread is no different to any other.

I previously had no issues with you, and I still don't. You seem intelligent and able to debate a point. I detect a little sense of humour...so we have no need to argue over Willo. I have my opinion and you have yours. The same applies to Moss.

We can leave it there or not, it's up to you.

Kind regards.
