Cabaye is using us to get other teams interested and it's working. He sees us as a last resort. Really don't want a player like that here no matter how good he is. Character is also an important attribute when getting new players in. He will go to Wet Spam.
Opinion. Sorry just don't want to get my hopes up and to me that is the likely scenario of what is going on. No need to apologise, thought you might be ITK that's all. The more his name is bandied about (Arsenal yesterday, West Ham today) the more it looks like his agent whoring him out. But you never know.......

The Pardew link is very helpful, as is guaranteed first team football, but I just can't see us being able to offer him the financial package others can (west ham for example will offer him 1st team football and bigger money). Odds of 10/1 on West Ham having him seem pretty attractive.

I've come to the conclusion that whatever happens when the transfer window opens on July 1st, I'll be happy with our team. Cabaye, Remy, Ba, Davies & company are only rumours and I won't lose any sleep if they go somewhere else. With Zaha, Bolasie and Murray spearheading our attack come August 8 we're more than capable of nicking enough points to clear off the relegation battle.

I'm not so sure as Steve Parish has been quoted as wanting to push on from where we finished last season which he can do by either keeping his fingers crossed and hoping for the best or reinforcing the team with one or two higher quality players and Cabaye, Remy and a central defender will provide that extra quality necessary to push on

The two points I would make are firstly that Steve Parish doesn't want to just clear the relegation zone but wants to push on from where we finished this year and secondly as someone of mature years you were also probably happy with our team in 1997 featuring the new boys Lombardo and Paul Warhurst who both suffered fairly serious injuries which curtailed their season culminating in relegation for us

It is hard to believe he would sign for us but at the same time, premier league clubs are not so oblivious that he needs to pretend to be close to signing for Palace in order to get on their radar. I think he’s genuinely considering it.

He is considering it but as someone said he is waiting to see what else is out there and what other offers he will get. He will get another offer from a bigger club, that's one thing you can bank on.

Yohan Cabaye gives an interview in tomorrow's L'Équipe where he reaffirms his desire to quit PSG, preferably for England. More to follow. From Twitter. Keep an eye out.

It looks like he must be going to West Ham as he has stated that it is better to go backwards in order to go forward. Surely nobody could say joining Palace is a backward step. so it must be West Ham.
