So many great transfers in the last 3-4 years or so (Murray, Bolasie, Ward, Dann, Jedi, McArthur among others) and you choose to pick Kevin Doyle. Not forgetting Gayle, whose transfer had many supporters and pundits lambasting the owners for paying over the odds for a lower league player. They can't win!

Not seem too much of this guy but the Youtube clips of his Blackburn goals are pretty impressive. He looks awesome in the air but also all types of goals as well.Looks a better bet than Gomis, come on Palace get it done.

I've not the time or will to bother reading however many posts with people slating each other but would say...getting back to the original matter...that Gestede would probably be a better signing for us than Deeney or Rhodes. Less money and wages too. If Chammy continues to be out and Muzza is used sparingly then this is the fella for £5m or thereabouts with Gayle and the other guys going forward. Not a wannabe bigtime Charlie and can do a FFS job. Just my thoughts. I await the slating...zzz.
I like to think that there would still be a place for Murray as back-up for injuries or off the bench,

maybe we'll go back with another bid or look at other targets. He's market value is €1.5m so Blackburn are over valuating him. He's not worth the €3.5m that's been rejected, the player knows it, that's why he's unhappy with their valuation, and he has a point to prove in the Premier as his honeymoon last season with a poor Cardiff side ended with a divorce half way though the season with him having only 3 run outs.

Gestede is overvalued at 3.5m - we wont pay it - and rightly so...that's not SP trying to get something for nothing, its him protecting probably 1.5m - 2m of the clubs money. Its not a difficult concept to grab

The fact that his agent has said publicly he wants to come to Palace, then hopefully Blackburn will think what's the point of keeping an unhappy player and cave in. Edited by Loomo (21 Jan 2015 1.41pm)
