Im off out again to enjoy some BBQ, Beers & sunshine, deep in a country that has none of the problems the west falls over itself to welcome in. If you actually bothered to check the timelines of my posts you would realise how untrue that is! I post in bursts, either after a meal, or when watching tv. It’s about to rain here so my gardening is on hold for a moment. Hard luck!

You’re not there now and that is what you asked. Not what used to be there. Nevertheless, based on this experience, exactly what is it I don’t understand? I would imagine there would be just as many, probably even more, international health care staff as a % of the total, in London than here. Working hard, but feeling nervous at the moment.

But I also know one of her polish friends who does not work and makes as much as I do. Edited by Mattconrov (13 Aug 2024 12.40am) Kudos for recognising how hard most of those who come here work. Most seem really nice people too. My wife has a Romanian friend who is so sweet, friendly and funny. Great company. Of course, people are people so some will be spongers or chancers. Wherever they were born.

Come over to Truro, you might think differently, especially if you need to visit the hospital. You won't see them in Newquay surfing, drinking lager or attending the Boardmasters! They're too busy working. Work, eat and sleep is all most do. The only time they are visible is on the way to and from their work. Perhaps all those in Newquay drinking, surfing and attending concerts are on holiday having worked extremely hard all year. Edited by Spiderman (13 Aug 2024 7.21am) I think quite a few are actually students on their summer break, but there are the usual mix of holiday makers here every August. Which includes a surprisingly high number from Europe.

You don't generally up sticks from another country to sit on your ass. People are people and we must take as we find. Im not against immigration. My wife is from Ghana, as I've said. Plus I have relatives all over the world. People's concerns whether real or not; are being dismissed by this and previous governments as racist. It is not. But in the end it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy and we will get more racists. Interestly I know many black people, including my wife - who like Trump and Farage. My wife actually voted reform and inspired me to do the same and I don't generally vote for anyone. Reform put on their leaflets a ban for immigration. That's too black and white for me. So like trump they are not perfect. However some people feel they are the only choice. It's out of self preservation. The only real reason that khan continues to be mayor can only be because of the demographic in London. So everyone is voting in their own interests.

This is an excellent interview and I’m sure many here will agree with her opinions and delivery. Edited by Rudi Hedman (13 Aug 2024 12.49am) I would urge anyone to watch this video. It tackles all the issues. And you can’t accuse her or f racism due to her background, partners and friends.

Why do we have to say she is not a racist? What she says, we all know is true. Race has nothing to do with it. Politicians know it's all true. They just don't care. We live in a country, where people are told that stopping illegal migrants is really hard and that the 5000 who have arrived since Labour took over is unavoidable. In fact, the government is now saying nothing about it, despite claiming before the election that they were going to 'smash the gangs'. Obvious nonsense to anyone with half a brain. They even cancelled the Rwanda scheme, the only effort that had been made to slow it. The idea that we can't just stop these illegals is laughable. Of course we could. There is just no desire to do so. EU countries, along with Britain, could all get together and agree on a new policy, but they don't. They also perpetuate the idea that we need mass immigration. Again another myth. It is based on a completely false premise, presumable designed to mask the real reason for it. Cheap labour and the promise of new left wing voters to please the Left, who happily play along. A divided nation, far easier to control. And of course, fear. The best way to convince people that they need protection from government and to distract them from the corruption of our leaders.

The best way to convince people that they need protection from government and to distract them from the corruption of our leaders. ------------------------------------------------- Polticans are certainly serving their masters. How someone like Angela Rayner could be considered as being part of a group of people who run the country, is beyond me. They are useful idiots. No one with any brain or morals could stay at that level of politics. I look at the end goal and then work backwards. That being an openly world government - an end to sovereignty. This is achieved by flooding countries with immigrants who cannot and won't intergrate. In the end we will not know what it is to be British if it carries on the way it has. When I went to Ghana I dressed like a Ghanaian. I eat the food. This is just one of the ways in which things could improve. But I appreciate that many British carry on the same when they move countries. But this proves my point. Only a small part want to be British and will always think of themselves as foreigners. Which is a great shame, because I want them to feel British.
