Corbyn got a rousing reception from the NUT earlier. Rousing reception from the NUT - hardly a surprise ! My wife used to be in ATL.

If I was a Corbyn supporter I would be mightily pissed off with how he let Osborne off the hook this week. The Tories should have been absolutely battered following the budget and IDS resignation. Corbyn was painfully ineffectual

Give it up now lads.... we've told them Corbyn is a lame duck, we've demonstrated how ineffective he is and what a turnoff he is to your average voter. If they don't want to heed our helpful advice and vote him out as leader now before it's too late to save the Labour Party going the same way as the Scottish Labour Party then that is their lookout. However I don't want any crocodile tears in 2020 when the inevitable happens and they cry out "If only you'd warned us...."

I thought you had flounced out of teaching because they were making you work and be accountable or something? You made a big song and dance about it but I have forgotten the specifics. Here in my capacity as division president.

Corbyn was painfully ineffectual The Tories had their worst week for a long long time. It might have been fair to assume that the mainstream press might actually begin to question David Cameron's leadership, but the mainstream media narrative was quickly set that Jeremy Corbyn was the real failure of the week for apparently not attacking the Tories. People are now spouting this feeble narrative as if the thoughts were their own, rather than some absolute drivel they'd rote learned from the right-wing press and mindlessly regurgitated as if it was their own opinion. However, if people actually listened to some of the responses from Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and Angela Eagle this week they'd have heard strong criticisms of the Tories that the likes of Ed Miliband and Ed Balls never managed to deliver.

Thing is that nobody wants to listen to them ! Anyhow, I'm not getting involved any further in this debate as it will only lead to yet another tedious WILLO thread.Best I keep out of the political debates. Edited by Willo (26 Mar 2016 10.40am)

Unless of course you are attempting some classical entryist tactics that Trots have been doing for years to subvert the intended purpose of an organisation for attempted political gain.

This might surprise you but I am actually capable of thinking for myself. The typical leftie fallback position of it's the electorates fault they're too thick to get it. It happened after the election and it's happening now. It's why there's such a chasm between the Labour and the general population. McDonnell did well, I can't deny that but do you honestly think Corbyn did? Until Labour can demonstrate that they are a credible opposition, something that they haven't been able to do for 6 years, then no one(at least not enough) will think they can form a credible government.
