Never been on it. I have on business, travelled first class same price as an economy flight. Much quicker than flying to Paris. This was about 20 years ago overall the experience was excellent except there was no food as the staff were on lightening strike and I was looking forward to my gourmet meal. I must have muttered too loudly when they made the PA announcement "typical French". A French passenger overheard and pulled me up on it "why do you assume it's the French on strike they never said". He was correct I had guessed, well he asked the French ticket collector in French and then apologised to me in English (he didn't need to) "you were right". At one point we were doing over 200mph and I looked at my glass of wine on the table and it wasn't even moving, compare that to commuting to London where you are doing 20mph and hanging on for dear life. Anyway its marvellous apart from the trains breaking down in the tunnel and the French always being on strike. Edited by Badger11 (18 Mar 2019 7.43am)

When we get the third vote, there should be a weighting according to how long you will have to live with the economic consequences. So a 26 year old gets 40 weighting points and a 46 year old only 20. Seems perfectly fair to me. Although of course this isn't an economic decision for most people is it. People accept the financial hit on future generations so long as we get back our 'independence'. Strangely largely that isn't how the future generation sees it.

There are loads of hotels just off the campus that run buses and are designed for families. Just don't lash out on staying at Disneyland itself. And be careful on the Metro when transferring, lots of thefts.

Noted....I think a trip is probably going to have to happen as they are under ten......Mind you, all things Disney are pretty crap nowadays. Daffy Duck was my favourite......everything's anodyne now. Taking them to Centre Parcs this summer.

Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Mar 2019 1.10pm) The train takes you straight to the complex - mine loved the character breakfasts - and Center Parcs is great too, haven't been to the new one at Woburn, but been to the rest at least a couple of times.

I prefer to weight it on how much tax one has paid so that those that haven't contributed to the exchequer don't get a vote
