Come over to Truro, you might think differently, especially if you need to visit the hospital. You won't see them in Newquay surfing, drinking lager or attending the Boardmasters! They're too busy working. Work, eat and sleep is all most do. The only time they are visible is on the way to and from their work. Try Hackney, Southwark, Lewisham, Lambeth, Newham, etc, and see how many doctors and nurses are out on the streets. Still. As long as Cornwall is fine then all is well.

None, but that also applies to just about everyone in the UK. That we have pockets of criminality who prey on women and children doesn't mean it's commonplace. It's serious of course and deserves the attention it is now getting but it must not be used to tarnish the reputations of others. The Krays and the Richardsons were pretty nasty criminals who weren't immigrants and had a heritage similar to mine, yours and most here. That doesn't mean were are all criminals. Judge people solely as individuals, and not on anything else. The Sixties are over. The hippies had their shot.

I haven't heard a word from Farage on this subject but apparently, he has been commenting, just a little. This analysis is interesting:- My view is he has missed a trick. If he had immediately condemned the rioting unequivocally and positively distanced himself from Yaxley-Lennon, he could have shown leadership to a wider audience. It would stick in his craw but coming out and supporting the PM, as all but almost every MP has done, would have established him as a responsible member of parliament and not the opportunistic populist he is seen as by most. By trying to offer excuses about underlying reasons etc etc he shows his true colours and limits himself to the already convinced. Indeed he risks alienating some because, according to YouGov, 75% of Reform voters disapprove of the violence. Some of them, like me, won't accept any excuses for it.

How would I know, any better than you do, but I suspect very few. They would also be too busy working, alongside that as many will be international staff they are currently feeling nervous.

As I lived in two of them for decades and spent considerable amounts of time in the others up until 8 years ago I'd say I have a fair idea. You really don't understand.

I DARE YOU: Call me a racist! 😠 @ThatAlexWoman is apoplectic. She breaks down mass immigration, women's safety & Two-Tier Kier. Pls share because the media WON'T show this. This is an excellent interview and I’m sure many here will agree with her opinions and delivery. Edited by Rudi Hedman (13 Aug 2024 12.49am)

"You won't see them" sounds a bit mysterious for me. Is that an invite? If I did I meet you, I'd give you a big hug.xx I understand how hard people work who come to this country. I'm married to one. But I also know one of her polish friends who does not work and makes as much as I do. Edited by Mattconrov (13 Aug 2024 12.40am)

Perhaps all those in Newquay drinking, surfing and attending concerts are on holiday having worked extremely hard all year. Edited by Spiderman (13 Aug 2024 7.21am)

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
