This from the Times today by Oliver Key headed 'No wonder referees are living in fear'just about sums it up: At least Wilfried Zaha knows now. If you are going to express dissent, don't go for the old sarcastic applause. Just go mad. Scream at the referee or linesman, as Ashley Barnes the Burnley striker did last weekend. Oliver Key goes on to sympathise (in a way) and feels Barnes's reaction will do far more harm to the game than Zaha's juvenile sarcasm. He is right. Zaha was correctly sent off but Barnes has not been censured by the FA. Ironic? He also goes on to say wilfs a diver and if he thinks his reputation is counting against him, it's a case of reaping what you sow...

VAR should sort it out. And if Wilf is a diver, what does that make Salah? Edited by southnorwoodhill (09 Feb 2019 12.54pm)

Many of us have given our advise/opinions following the red card at Southampto. Yesterday Wilf came out and gave a magnificent display of skill and controlled emotions culminating in a goal which he literally forced into the net followed by a release of Palace passion in front of the Ultras. Fantastic stuff. It’s what fills Selhurst and makes Palace such a great club to follow.

When is Wilf’s appeal being heard? Probably waiting until after the Doncaster match so he's banned for the Leicester match.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
