Farage is said to be lobbying Italy and others to reject any government request to extend Article 50. Who knows how successful such an effort will be, but it does push home the point that every EU nation would need to agree to extending it. Perhaps we should tell the EU that unless they give us a decent deal we will stay in the EU and just block every piece of legislation that they try and get through

They’ll soon be begging us to leave haha! Annoyingly, had we used our veto on a number of issues in the past, Brexit wouldn’t happen. We had the chance to influence from within but we didn’t use it.

I am afraid they do Stirling. As you know, the young tend to be quite holier than thou. They feel deeply let down Tux is also right, this generation will never forgive the over 65 generation for many things. Their view is that their future was stolen by those who decided to feather their nests at the expense of future generations. DB pensions, control over housing and ridiculous levels of debt being the clearest examples. It seems we are all stuck with being poorer than previous generations and that will get worse as a result of Brexit. Still, maybe it will get better in 20 years' time eh! Meanwhile lets all watch the oldies going on their world cruises. I have 2 kids 25 and 22 both voted leave and would do so again.Do they hate those that prefer remain? Absolutely not, I am surprised your kids can't appreciate everyone is entitled to their own views and understand democracy

Brexit has resulted in the UK having no power over events at all. It does still have the power to revoke article 50, if revoked we could recover our reputation in time. Any extension is up to the 27 EU states, pathetic UK can only beg for it. At all costs the conservative party want to avoid the voters who didn't really want May last time.

I'm hoping that Nigel Farage can persuade just one of the member states not to allow us to extend the date so that we can get it over and done with on 29th March and start to rebuild the country under the guidance of a new Prime Minister

They also benefited from MIRAS and free study. As TUX has told us many times, they are the generation that had it good, far better than those to come. They didn't reinvest for future generations.
