Apparently Netanyahu believes that 82% of Americans support Israel in its actions in Gaza as a consequence of a recent poll. Does that seem possible? I can believe that 82% would say yes to a question that asked if Israel has a right to exist or retaliate with overwhelming force after the actions of Hamas, but to ignore the suffering of civilians, refuse aid and humanitarian support? My concerns about Netanyahu predate this war. I was expressing them here months ago as he attempted to rewrite the constitution and take control of the Supreme Court. Having been in Israel just a few weeks before Hamas came over the border to murder so many and set all of the mayhem in motion I saw some of the characteristics of the Israeli people first hand. My wife describes them as the unfriendliest people she has ever spent time with and like me she has travelled widely. We spent a week on a cruise of the Eastern Med after our stay in Israel on a ship leaving from Haifa, where almost everyone was Israeli. At no point did we have any social interactions or even a “good morning”. I don’t know the relevance other than they are very tribal, suspicious and not at all like anyone else I have encountered. They don’t think like us. Netanyahu seems the embodiment of this. I know the USA has many people with strange ideas but 82%? I doubt the question was phrased like that as it’s totally loaded.

Are Israel correct in utilising military force in the wholesale slaughter, displacement and starvation of an entire population ? Would Israel be correct in utilising military force to deal specifically with terrorists ?
I disengage, I turn the page. |

All I hear is Genocide Joe, Genocide Joe - so it looks like people don't support the Biden administration on this. However, it would be interesting to hear from an American on this.

I don't know if anyone has heard of/seen the Aaron Bushell video - a serving US solider who set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy a couple of days back, but the fallout from that certainly doesn't suggest that big a majority of Americans support what Israel are doing.

Bibi and Joe, 'the genocide twins'. To see the President of the United States munching on an ice cream cone while Palestinian children are starving to death, tells you everything about the current state of the USA, and the UKs shame for supporting it. Genocide Joe 'would like a ceasefire', in the conflict where the USA itself weaponised and financed Israel. Blood on their hands.

Why can't we just be like India and keep ourselves out of foreign affairs. Why can't we trade with the middle east and not be involved in who does what to whom? I don't want to be implicated in anything Israel do or with anything the Palestinians do in this blood feud. This is the American's mess and we should have stayed out of it.

When you think of genocide, the first that comes to mind the Holocaust although I always think of Armenia, there are obviously others. They are never forgotten and the victims permanently scarred and embittered through generations. The Norwegian aid chief in Rafah, 'what they are doing will unleash a terrible revenge'.

So he should have not eaten the ice cream because of the situation in Gaza? You have outdone yourself in the stupidity of this post, the bar keeps moving.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

And people are still parroting this human shield excuse - children have been found to have been sniped in the head, there are videos of the IDF executing civilians for little more than sport. We are witnessing one of the great crimes of our generation.

Only this time they got their revenge in first - plenty of times and all around the world.
