Be have yourself, not agreeing and belittling are different things.
As I said I really don't want to engage with you anymore.
So go and bully someone else.

Elgrande,up until this evening I thought you were ok and up for the craic, and read your posts with interest..But, if you now wish to cease engaging with me,it would be a pleasure...truly.

I or other "lefty" posters on here may (or may not) be as you suggest .But what is a constant source of amazement and amusement,is how blind those of you who pop at us are:you are no different but completely oblivious to it,you give it but can't take it...It could be felt by some that the only bullying-type behaviour on this thread this evening has been by your (not always so) good self.

Notwithstanding that, I still hope you get a seat on the train on Sunday.

I have said that "in principle" some of the policies are sensible.
How ever who or what I think have f*** all to do with you.

I make my own mind up about voting with out being led by either side.

So give it a rest.

You are being quite combative, in my view, unnecessarily.
I admire the fact that you concede that some of Labour's (draft) manifesto is good in principle. Others would be stubborn and not admit it because it isn't their side saying it.

I'm not sure I was putting words in your mouth as you say, I was pleased that I am putting thoughts in your head as it shows you are considering things more seriously than some would give you credit for.

The policies you say (earlier in the thread) are interesting are being labelled as hard left by sections of the media. Are they?

1. It gives them the horn(by)
2. Don't know. As far as I know, franchises won't be renewed when they run out rather than paying them off.

Just like the Labour cabinet, you can't give any figures.

I would say re nationalization of the railways is quite hard left.
The utility companies not so much ( that is one I whole heartingly agree with).
Immigration, defence not so sure,( the latter I don't trust any of them with).

A prescient post not calling them a shadow cabinet.

And again I do not think I am being combative,if not agreeing with people is combative, then I give up.
There are people on here who have been a lot more "combative" than me ...on both the left and right.

Nice word "prescient". As Diane Abbot would say: "I mis-spoke". Of course I meant the shadow cabinet.

It's a subjective view though, others will see it differently.

One thing I've been wondering, I keep hearing that Labour would allow unlimited immigration. Is there any evidence for this? Didn't immigration numbers go up over the past few years?

I think we can all agree that the disastrous forays into different conflicts, particularly Iraq, are a driver behind the rise in immigration as people flee the likes of ISIS (who it could be argued only came into being because of the power vacuum and disorder following the war).

talking of Prescient, watch this from 4 minutes in. [Link]

He wasn't wrong was he?

Seems the only arguments against the lefts (bar one or two exceptions) points are either 'Corbyn is unelectable' type stuff without basis, it's unworkable (without finding out whether this is true or not) or personal attacks.

Have Labour promised a free owl to everyone as part of their manifesto? Owls are wise and old, like Jezza, and form an integral part of any 'progressive' society.

The arrangement will be costed by Labour also giving everyone a free kestrel, which would eat the owl and thus the 'costing' for the upkeep of the owl, after borrowed capital investment, would be nil.

The cost of the upkeep of the kestrel will be eliminated by the provision of free baboons to everyone, whom in turn would eat the kestrel and thus the circle of provision continues.

This is all costed. They tell us this but won't explain how becaus it would be 'misrepresented' by the nasty, right wing media and anyone who can count & has access to a calculator.
