'We trust the science' - Margaret Thatcher.

And here is what the science makes of the brexiteer voter.

Their results suggested that leavers tended to be less numerate, more impulsive and more prone to accepting unsupported claims of authoritarian figures.

Brexit is a totally manufactured crisis where none existed, by the conservative party to deflect blame for all their disasters upon a convenient 'enemy'.

It looks very like another 10 years of aircraft landing on Brussels tarmac each Friday with the PM 'batting for Britain' to no effect whatsoever.

Hopefully the EU is getting it and moving on, it looks like it.

If May can get this through, she and Barwell will have played a blinder. At least in political terms. IMO not a blinder for the future of the country but to some extent that isn't their fault, they played the hand dealt to them by years of political infighting.

No, the buck stops with the PM.

The PM could have pursued her softer conservative policies which were well supported.

She chose to jettison them for brexit, and only brexit.

Her reason for life is to get brexit over the line, that is not the mark of a sensible PM, to live or die for one policy.

We have only to see the mess in just about everything the tories have started in the last few years to see the misguided focus on brexit.

Who are you talking about? You failed to answer my question yesterday re: polls. Your friend Pussay Patrol won't like it unless you can back up your claims with facts.

Which was in the election manifesto (as it was with Labour). You could say she is trying to uphold the results of a democratic vote, which surely must be a good thing for our democracy

She should concentrate on matters close to home like the current bloodshed on our streets, a result of her disasterous policies as home secretary, but she's only concerned for her legacy and delivering brexit, a useful distraction for her

By science you mean opinion.

Although I do agree that Brexit is a manufactured crisis to ensure we never leave.

I agree with the first part of your quote but not the second.

The biggest mistake that they made was to appoint a remainer as PM who's job it was to oversee negotiations for something she didn't believe in.

I'm sure that if we had the UK's version of Donald Trump in the hot seat the negotiations would have gone much better although he would probably have messed up almost everything else

It can't be easy when you ave o many remain MP's who represent leave constituencies - anyway looks like it's down the the Attorney General's opinion. If that persuades the DUP, the ERG will fall in line.

I believe the ERG are waiting on the opinion of a small group of solictors headed by Bill Cash; it should be interesting to see if their opinion matches Geoffrey Cox's.

JRM said this morning he was going to see what the DUP thought. It's good to see the voice of moderation holds sway.

Wasn't it a remain PM who gave you the vote on the first place?
