Yes, it was a failure but who knows who should take responsibility. And it isn't replacing him once he's gone that counts, it's succession planning far earlier. We should have had an understudy for him, ready to go well before we lost Conor. Agreed. Also it seemed obvious that Jimmy Mac would not play many/ if any games this season. Letting Kouyate leave was a ridiculous decision, if it was for the sake of a 2 year contract, someone needs to stand up and be counted for that decision

Palace lack height at the rear and Cheikhou Kouyate is 6'4". I've been looking in vain for a current injury update, his current situation I wouldn't think he is back in training yet. There's a lack of tall defenders with PL and WC experience having captained their country. 'Not the brightest' CPFC nul points...

Or another way of putting it would be to look at the hole that Parish's failure to replace him has left in our team Or another way of looking at it, we are 3 points better off after 16 games, than last season. So the hole isnt that big, as Vieira has changed the formation to adapt.

I can't see this been a busy window for us. We have cover for all positions and are getting some of the younger players out on loan. With Wilf's contract expiring in the summer and question marks about whether Ebiowei or and Rak-Sakyi are going to be Premier League standard i think a winger would be an area we might look at recruiting. Watford look like they might struggle to get promoted so it would no surprise to see us linked with Sarr.

I know he is injured but Kouyate would solve some of our problems. yes agreed, Kouyate could play in midfield and at the back if needed and was always a danger at set pieces, really cannot understand the decision to let him go when you consider the stupid extensions that were previously made for players the were either injured (Wickham) or useless (Benteke).

Forest want to get rid of Dennis according to clickbait. If they are desperate to cut their wage bill perhaps we could do a loan deal with a view to a buy. I doubt Forest see us our relegation rivals whereas if Bournemouth offered money they would be crazy to accept it.

Emmanuel Dennis came on as a substitute for Nottm Forest in their game at Man Utd just after Christmas and his PL appearance before that was in early November. Dennis has made 15 apps this season (PL and EFL Cup) and only scored a solitary goal. It is likely that they have decided to dispense with his services, what has been well documented is that the club are looking to further strengthen their squad and they have signed midfielder Gustavo Scarpa from Palmeiras.

We have been linked with various Championship players who all seem to be out of contract in the summer. Unfortunately most of them play for clubs that still have a chance of getting promoted so I cannot see why they would sell in January. FYI It got me thinking why on earth would any player or agent agree to such a one sided clause?
