Hey, I've just spotted some non-trans women! [Tweet Link]

I've just looked up the definition of woman in the Collins English Dictionary. It says: "A woman is an adult female human being" OK, so how is female defined by the same publication? "Someone who is female is a woman or a girl." "You can refer to any creature that can lay eggs or produce babies from its body as a female." Which is a relief, because I really didn't think it was as complicated as some want to make it. Although Collin was a man of course, when he started his dictionary.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

The hospital decided she was transphobic because she asked for a biological female nurse. This stuff is getting out of all proportion since when did the trans lobby becomes so powerful, they seem immune from justified criticism. And yes the LGBT community and the feminists have brought this on themselves. I feel sorry for the average woman who just wanted to be treated fairly and now see many of the things they fought for at threat not from the old enemy "misogynistic men" but the so called progressives e.g. unisex toilets.

Plenty of well-known feminists being non-platformed now because they refuse to bow down to this deviant spaghetti orthodoxy. But we are through the looking glass on this. The case of the trans thingy, and convicted rapist to boot, that the Prison service allowed to move to a female prison who then goes on to sexually assault women is proof enough. Beyond all rational comprehension, how this came from seemingly nowhere and now is not only accepted as the norm but people being hauled in for questioning by the Police if they dare challenge it.

It's not come out of nowhere really. It's intersectional feminism and has been taught in the universities for decades.....Now those people are in management positions. They gain power by shaping the language and cloaking everything within 'rights' and 'equality'. As for some older tradition feminists falling foul of the intersectionals.....Well, that's just the left eating their own. Some older feminists are now considered right wing....which is kind of hilarious and shows you just how far left the goalposts have shifted.

You both make good points and its a sad day when people as influential as Germaine Greer and Peter Thatchell are no platformed as you say Stirling the left eating their own. Not sure I believe the photo of the boy laying on the floor in hospital is genuine. A bit close to the election maybe?

Still won't make any difference, the left aren't winning this one.

Polls, as we well know, can be wrong but none of them really indicate anything other than a Conservative majority. Edited by dollardays (09 Dec 2019 7.05pm)

No doubt purposefully political by The Mirror, but really no different from any other newspapers behaviour regardless of their political bent. I'm sure both Labour and the Conservatives will both have some 'bombshell' timed for the day before the election in a bid to squeeze another percentage point out here or there.
