Ugly Lives Matter . Luckily for you. You seem to be more concerned that we get a manager with movie star looks, than any abilty as a manager.

No actually , I just want an experienced premier league manager , that will keep us in the league. And it ain’t Cooper You seem to think the sun shines out of his arse for some reason . That was just a joke about the ugly lives matter . Not my fault if you haven’t got a sense of humour.

Cooper reminds me of Roy and Peter Taylor, good technical managers who can do well internationally ( not saying Roy hasn’t had successes at club level or failures internationally)but are prone to letting their doubts rule them. They end up spending too much time worrying about the opposition.

I decided to give this forum a wide berth for a few days because of the ridiculously petty remarks people were starting to make. After logging back in, it’s clear nothing’s changed and I wish I hadn’t bothered. Where’s the debate, the conversation, the enthusiasm, the passion, the excitement? It’s all been taken over by a gaggle of blokes who have resorted to mocking another man’s looks. Mods, any chance of some control over this?! Good grief.

The situation isn’t filling me with confidence. We seem to have had discussions with a lot of different candidates without any clear idea of what exactly we’re looking for. We’ve got a Sporting Director responsible for recruitment but noises about players not being re-signed until the manager is sorted whilst Benteke’s renewal is then announced out of the blue. I remember the words “muddled thinking” being used by SP in respect of the de Boer appointment. My preference is they give it to somebody who’s hungry and has something to prove rather than a crowd pleasing name who fvcks us about and probably won’t ultimately fancy working within the current structure and budget.

It would seem that the " management " are not in control of the timing of the new manager appointment. Players out of contract are rightly concerned. After the statement that contracts would be decided after the new manager is appointed, then Benteke is extended, points to reactive behaviour. My guess is Benteke had an offer from elsewhere and there was panic in case he went. After SP's comments about Howe in WED surely unlikely he would have him back for an interview again. Anyway, all we can do is observe Edited by HKOwen (08 Jun 2021 12.56pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
