Probably quite a lot but is their overall record worse than ours which is quite poor Can't honestly say, but didn't they have 30+ players out on loan last year?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Our young players may not be good enough but it is pretty damning on the development at the club that we have just one player, Brandon Pierrick, who has appeared in the league for us this year who has been aged 21 or under. And he has appeared just once - as a late substitute Man U have had 10 and Chelsea 11, respectively; and it's not as though they have not had points to fight for Chelsea were sanctioned by FIFA in regards to their behaviour in signing under 18s. I suspect a number of the big clubs are similarly guilty, but didn’t get caught.

But what about the blocking of our academy talent Parish spoke about during that in house interview? Lol lol Well it would have been interesting if he had elaborated on that and clarified how this "blocking" might be overcome. I don't know what influence SP has with regard to team selection but I would guess Roy has the last word, and if so, it is he who is reluctant to give playing time to academy players. This would be understandable if Roy is under pressure to achieve one of SP's other aims, mentioned by him in the interview i.e. to finish as high up the table as possible for financial reasons. Roy may well feel that bringing in untried youngsters, at the expense of experienced first teamers, could upset the apple-cart and be counter-productive in respect of that aim.

Yes, don’t expect any of Parish’s aims and objectives to not contradict the others.

Here is a moan about Roy Hodgson. His man management is dog w*** at times. Please see Sorloth, Alex. Yes the Turkish league is not the premier league but he clearly has some talent. I cannot guarantee you that if Hodgson had given him a fair crack at things, he would have worked out. What I can guarantee you is that the way he was used was always going to produce a failure. Not even Lionel Messi would have made it if treated the same way. In fact Messi wouldnt get a game as hes too lightweight. Dribs and drabs here and there. Stop start stop start. You MUST be given a run of games to get going in a new league. Hodgson did the same s*** with Meyer. Football is about confidence. Look at what has happened to Benteke mostly on Roy's watch. Sorloth, Meyer and Benteke all have/had the same problem when playing for Palace, crisis of confidence based on being used incorrectly or too infrequently to get any rhythm going. Clearly Sorloth is a decent player NOW. Dont bother digging up old comments of mine slating him, as they do exist. That was before he banged in 25 goals in Turkey and looked the best player in the league.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Just picked up on this thoroughly depressing thread. What a bunch of whiners! You sound like spoiled man u "fans". As someone mentioned, the loss to barnet was basically our u-23 team, but as for the lack of depth, how did we manage to fill those spots left open by injured players? Because the players dug deep and were playing for their careers. I have confidence in the three people mentioned in the thread title and I'm glad we don't have some others who are having a lot less fortune than we are.
