I had lots of run ins with my teachers over my political views amongst other things. However I am always suspicious of this type of story until I have heard the other side. Her comments about feeling scared seem to indicate she can dish it out but can't take it. Did anyone actually threaten her? She left the college after an hour. Did she report the incident to the college authorities? did she give them a chance to investigate? If (big if) it is true then the teacher should be disciplined. Unlike many on them left I don't knee jerk support anyone just because they have similar political views to mine.

The teacher was doing their job. It’s the prevent strategy in action. It is a Tory policy which is used to safeguard children from being radicalised by groups from the far left to the far right and religious extremists.

There's nothing in the story to suggest it was anything to do with the prevent strategy, but more to do with the bigoted teacher. However, if it was to do with it, it's quite absurd that if you are vocally against the ideology that caused the creation of the prevent strategy, then you end of being a victim of it yourself.

Tell me.....what exactly is the benefit of allowing immigration in from demographics which will blow up your children every few years? There are eastern European countries which have effectively banned it and have zero terror attacks from this demographic.....because that demographic within their country is tiny and doesn't come from countries with radical minorities. This teacher should be disciplined. Outside of his views on Islam Robinson's views can't be said to be far right anyway. The actual far right have very mixed sentiments towards him.....But most of the liars on the far left are ignorant of that or are quite happy lying about it. No you are right seems it was a teacher imposing their own views on a class. However prevent wasn’t created to deal with one ideology. That is where the problem with it lies in many peoples eyes.
