Others will have arrived under the Tier 2or 5 employment legislation. From these examples, the only arrivals who do not have to have secured employment are the family members of EU nationals. Where is my throw away comment? I think I quoted facts he didn't/hasn't What 'family members of EU nationals', the influx is from the Asian sub-continent.

She's created a toxic environment to pander to right wing populism. Some would go as far as to say she is racist

These are free but other non-EU nationals have to pay quite a substantial amount for visas. Do you know for a fact that the influx is from Asian sub-continent? If so I would be interested to know where you got the figures from or am I not allowed to ask this?

Still if Labour get into power we will have Dianne Abbott as Home Secretary god help us all (well the white middle classes anyway, just to clarify this is my opinion not a fact)

QUALIFYING AS FAMILY MEMBER To qualify as a direct family member, you must be the EEA citizen’s spouse or civil partner, or the child or grandchild under 21 of the EU national or his spouse/civil partner. Dependent parents, grandparents, children or grandchildren over 21 (of the EU national or his spouse) can qualify at any age as long as they can prove to be financially dependant on the EU sponsor. UK Immigration law regard adopted family members as natural family. QUALIFYING AS EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBER Alternatively, the extended family member has to prove a serious health condition. Furthermore, that he/she rely on the care from the EU citizen. Extended family members must apply for an EU Family Permit or Residence Card to reside legally in the UK. IMO this is one of the most abused routes of entry/gaining residence in the UK. I have seen this from working at passport control and as a Visa Officer in the sub-continent.When we leave the EU hopefully this route will be stopped

Some would go as far as to say she is racist I personally thought this was a ridiculous idea but it was aimed at those living illegally in the UK. Is it racist to target illegal immigrants? They are breaking the law whether certain people like this or not. Surely you cannot support law breakers?

This whole thread is clearly a microcosm of the state of the nation both in terms of Brexit and beyond in general political discourse. Despite many pages of discussion I don't really see anyone shifting on their position and it's a great example of the tribalism that's taken over. If anything this discussion is just dividing people further. At this point we are becoming two completely different nations sharing an island and it does not bode well for my children. They remainers in general run the government (including both main political parties) and all the key institutions in this country so at this point have a huge advantage. But the majority (if only just, although I think it's more than just the people that voted for Brexit) have had enough of being ignored especially as that's now turning into censorship and state threats. The clear danger (and the elephant in the room) is that this inevitably leads to violence. I sincerely hope not but at that point I know who I would back in a fight.

A friend of mine is an ardent Remainer, apparently there is a big People Vote demonstration scheduled towards the end of March which she is going on. She was joking about burning down the Houses of Parliament in which case even though I am a Leaver I will join her. If there is one thing that unites Leavers and Remainers its we all think the politicians are doing a terrible job. Still it's not like they're rewarded for failure is it it? Oh wait yes it is they all just got big pay rises. Now where did I put my yellow vest.

There are too many in the Commons who are ante Brexit that a consensus is impossible - and on that basis MPs aren't representing the out constituents, Labour and Tory manifestos at the last election or an act of Parliament.
