We choose those who act for us and, prior to any major decision being made, they will be aware of public sentiment. So as we aren't a direct democracy we don't have a direct input on anything but we do have an indirect influence. That indirect influence is and was nowhere near strong enough to influence an event like this so talking about it beforehand was pointless and now we shouldn't talk about it afterwards either.

Of course, those who check facts are, in the minds of conspiracy theorists like you, all liars themselves, aren't they? Hopeless. The all-purpose term for stopping discussion. Many years ago it was heresy, then it was unpatriotic and now it's conspiracy theory.

The all-purpose term for stopping discussion. Many years ago it was heresy, then it was unpatriotic and now it's conspiracy theory. I don’t want to stop discussion. I want discussion to focus on matters that can make a difference and not on things that can’t. Complaining about yesterday cannot change yesterday. Thinking about tomorrow can.

And how would that have helped before lockdown was introduced? Was there any public consultation? Our role is to decide who we choose to represent us. In many situations those people are aware of public sentiment and take heed of it. In my own opinion too often because of the way it can be manipulated, but that is just a downside of a free society I suppose. In emergencies, when rapid decisions are needed, whilst there may well be public airings of alternative strategies there won’t be time for a thorough public debate and sentiment. The same applies to every kind of threat. You take action. It’s only much later, when the emergency is over, that a long, cool evacuation is made to try to determine whether the decisions were wise and what ought to change should a similar situation occur again. We are having that enquiry. They will know the costs, some of which we may not. They will evaluate these objectively. Neither emotionally or from any kind of political viewpoint, although I have no doubt that those with such viewpoints will be given ample opportunities to make their cases. Indeed anyone who has anything new and relevant to say is able to find a way to present it to the enquiry. That’s the right way to handle this or anything like this, in our democracy. Endless repetition of particular opinions in internet forums achieves nothing other than the confirmation of biases in an echo chamber. At a time when others are spreading disinformation which is impacting current behaviour it is an unnecessary diversion. One which is doubtless encouraged by those spreading the disinformation as a way to divert scrutiny of their activities.

Endlessly repeating the same mantra doesn't change the fact that this is still trying to silence people.

I've put 59 second clip up for you. The great David Icke or project Veritas didn't make this criminal of a women do anything. Just 59 seconds long. Wiki responses again I see. Lol Try and stick to the patently obvious evidence and not to people you dislike. Your disingenuous behaviour is laughable. Your great fact check site wiki. The site that can be edited anonymously On their own page they admit this. So if someone wants to lie and bring someone down. Just go and edit something anonymously.
