The thing the documentary showed (so far) is that Parish considers (considered?) it his responsibility to have his finger on the pulse of football matters. And he is searching for some kind of narrative and continuity. Interestingly, with the squad overhaul required this summer, the next chapter in that narrative can go a lot of ways. I suspect the Americans are an issue in writing our story.
