I would hazard a guess that the London independence movement is probably linked to brexit rather than Foreigners wanting London to become their own state?

Yeah....all those English people in London wanting to break away the English capital from England.

Yeah....must be the overwhelming majority.

The huge demographic changes over the last thirty years....they have nothing to do with it.

Keep pushing your head deeper into that sand.

So you accept that you were being racist then peffers?

You were being judged by your own side's rule book.

Accept that we know that the 'progressive' left is now majority anti white and accepts 'racism' against this group.

You do get some strange ideas in your head.

Also, your demographic argument relies on the assumption that new generations remain distinct from other groups. Younger generations assimilate far better than the older generations that are far more tribal and fearful of difference. I have a lot more in common with people my age from different ‘demographics’ than I do people 20/30 years older than me on here.

Change happens. It’s not always something to fear.

Aussie rules is a pointless comparator as

There do not appear to be any rules

It is generally incomprehensible (But I don't understand American NFL either...)

If that is so then why does London now have an independence movement that has support at around twenty percent?

As demographics worsen for the English how is this not going to increase?

This one baffles me. I work in London as just about live in Greater London. I work in and around politics. I have never heard of the London Independence movement which surprises me as it seems one in five Londoners support it. Maybe time for some of our keyboard warriors and truth seekers to not believe everything they read.

Not saying it doesn't exist but you can attach the name movement to anything, it neither gives it substance nor credence.

Am enjoying the debate on Englishness. All a bit like Tebbit's cricket test (which makes Moeen Ali English.)

Where do we stand on that green curry sauce you get on chips in the Brexit loving north?

So you have the same thought process as people on the right that new people don't integrate and are tribal, Your words,!

Why would we want these people, please tell me.

No, what would make Ali English would be his self identity. Most Asians I've known felt much better calling themselves British or pakistani or wherever...or they had to add the qualifier British Asian.

This is the lefty lie.....It's jam tomorrow on integration....later generations are going to wake up being English in fifty years. It's a lie....it's a numbers game. The truth is integration is different for different groups and integration levels are bad amongst most non European ones.

I mean it's not as if we haven't had seventy years of immigration into this country already.....We literally have foreign bases in our cities and the idea that they regard themselves as English is a pure lie regardless of the generation.

Change always happens....but what that change is happens to be political.

Using your argument South Africa should be a happily integrated country because whites have been there for hundreds of years.

England has to have a majority of English people within it to remain English.

What a sensitive little pickle. Not everything is a challenge which involves such ire....

Some things are meant to be humorous asides...

But yes ok by making such comments I disrespect the whole nation including half of my own family the God parents of my children and a whole host of friends.

I will present myself at the embassy and be forced to drink Aussie beer for the next month as penance.

The London stuff was illuminating but again I say not something I as a London recognise.

The identification point is interesting and again maybe I move in different circles but I grew up in Thornton Heath and most of my friends of all creeds and colours describe themselves as English and their kids even more so.
