Do you think though it's the only way. We can retain our status in the prem. when Sam and Pulis took charge it was more of a survival mission task. Whilst pardew plan was to turn into Barca and turn into a farce. If the new manager can build of the structure that Sam put in place. I'm sure Rodgers could thrive at selhurst.

Not on the back of the season we've just had. Pardew turned us into a farce alright.

Sam rebuild the confidence and gave us back players fighting for the shirt. Dyche suits us but I'd rather be a little bolder than that. Rodgers has that prem experience and very good in the transfer market also. Bought in moussa dembele last season, bought in countinho to Liverpool.

I don't know many CBs that could've come in and completely changed our season like he did. He may have been the reason we stayed up. Maybe not. But he was sublime.

But it will be a pre-season to drill the defense. That means the new CB won't have to completely change anything. He will be trained into the new managers system. Don't get me wrong though, would love Sakho signs. Just think it's a big price.
