He said Bradford West, not Bradford. If you want to pull someone up at least use the right reference. Thank you Stuk....... at least you're paying attention! He also gave me the demographics for the whole of Bristol rather then Bristol East. I don't think his errors will affect him though... he has a very high opinion of himself. It doesn't help when posters like sanitycheck start bigging him up when he spouts his bollocks either. Might as well have given you Belgium. If it's not the same ward, somewhere close (or the entire area) doesn't mean it'll be similar. That data is a few years old too, and with trends for that area I would dare say it's even more weighted toward what you said now. Surely if a larger area contains the area being discussed (Bradford West is obviously in Bradford, Bristol East is obviously in Bristol), that has more relevance than somewhere completely unrelated? Would it not be possible for Hoof Hearted to answer the question I asked, but substituted in your more accurate percentages? If it helps, I can make the question shorter...
We have the right data, let's just use that. I don't know what it is and isn't possible for hoof to answer, but I find those multi-quote posts very awkward to reply to too. And much harder to keep track of the thread.

If you want to pull someone up at least use the right reference. and for the record the demography there is: Out of interest, did these figures come from the UKPollingReport website? Would be interested to know where this sort of information is available... It did, no idea if you feel that is good or bad? But the data is from the 2001 census. I'm indifferent where the info came from really, just thought I'd look up Bristol East too. 84% white, 6% Asian it turns out, so as it happens conflating Bristol and Bristol East was of no consequence in that case.

Most of Bristol East is an area called Easton, which is very heavily populated with Asians.

It might, it might not. Would you be happy if I used Purley for every example of Greater London? We have the right data, let's just use that. I don't know what it is and isn't possible for hoof to answer, but I find those multi-quote posts very awkward to reply to too. And much harder to keep track of the thread. If I'd had the correct data to begin with, I would have used that. I wasn't aware that census data was subdivided by constituency. Greater London at least contains Purley, so it has some value as a comparison. Belgium is definitely not in Greator London and there's no reason to think the inhabitants of Greater London will be similar demographically. Just as you find the multi quote awkward, I find the endless normaly quotes unhelpful when they get beyond about 3/4 posts. Agree to disagree, I suppose.

Post up the link as I don't believe the figures. Most of Bristol East is an area called Easton, which is very heavily populated with Asians. Funny how you didn't say that when Stuk posted up the Bradford figures

I'll check out this link and if I'm wrong I'll apologise obviously. EDIT: There was a boundary change just before 2010, so the area has been "watered down" from what it was pre 2010 by the addition of affluent areas that were attached to Kingswood (Tory controlled). Nevertheless I apologise to you. Edited by Hoof Hearted (08 Dec 2014 5.19pm)
