More to the point, if Hennessey was such a bad goalkeeper, how has he managed to both win back and then keep his place for so long. If he was such a bad keeper, why has it been so difficult to find a replacement who is an improvement? Answer - because there are not many out there who are better than Hennessey who are available, because he is a decent keeper, the group above him in terms of quality are rare and expensive and possibly unlikely to want to come to us.

Spot on. I don't rate Hennessey at all, think he's competent but that's it- but have to spend serious money to get a real upgrade

The way the team is playing I would go for competent any day of the week. Would David De Gea have made a difference probably not with what is going on around WH.

A match winning goalkeeper would have seen us get a point from Southampton and given us a better chance of a point from games such as Swansea and maybe even Burnley. Points that we could well do with at the moment.

Burnley have one. We had one prior to Wayne. They're out there. We just need to scout one out. A bullish goal keeper who is a shot stopper, cross collector and isn't afraid to go through a player to gather the ball. Can't say they don't make them anymore, because they do.
