So zero points after 7, yes SEVEN games isn't the reason then? And no goals in 11.

We prepare pathetically every summer. That's the reason. That led to overstretching the players and then the injuries.

If we prepare properly it doesn't go down this path. Hopefully the window closing earlier changes this negligence but I won't hold my breath.

The FdB fiasco is definitely a major cockup from Parish but do you not think to claim this is what led to our injury crisis is a bit of a stretch?!

To be able to manage a successful transfer window would be nice. What has to happen for you to look at the situation objectively?

Anyway back to topic. Have a good day

Objectively, I believe the current owners will oversee some of the biggest ground improvements we've ever seen.

Th ground as it stands is a gargantuan improvement of what it was when I first entered 'Selhurst Park' in the 60s.

Only 1 covered stand and that wasn't all seats as there was a terracing in front of the seats.A muddy bank at the top of the Holmesdale which one could slide down to get to the toilets etc etc. What we have now is relative luxury !

I remember the grass on the Holmesdale, at the start of the season, and then as you said by autumn one big muddy patch. You youngsters don't know how lucky you are.

Again, transfer policy and thinking it's okay to have no cover here and there.

Came on here thinking there was some new posts about the stadium plans....oh well.

Yeah back on topic please.

Very few want Parish out of the club or the board sacked, whatever that means. Parish isn't perfect or the worst chairman. He's good at business. But the transfers need to improve.

Returning to the subject matter - The new development looks very impressive, is much needed and will greatly improve the overall appearance of the ground.I just hope that I am still around to avail of it's comforts and splendour !

From a commercial standpoint it will also increase revenue streams with it's corporate facilities and hopefully we will be in the PL to make use of the increased capacity !

However all said and done it is a single stand development and a far cry from the original plans of a brand new stadium on a different site or the entire development of the ground "Stand by stand".Talk of additional development of 'Selhurst Park' has dissipated and not even being mentioned in aspirational terms.

Not a criticism at all and I appreciate there is a balancing act between development of facilities and funding of transfers etc etc.In terms of finances, it has been reported that our development will cost £75-100 Mill - Just to put it into context, Everton's new ground has been costed at £800Mill. Perhaps the overall cost of building a brand new stadium for us has proved too costly, hence the more 'Modest' development currently in train.

One of your sensible posts.
It is patently obvious that improving the ground by having a main stand worth the name is needed to improve the revenue stream. For years the ground has been neglected due to Noades holding onto the freehold, whilst 2 new owners had no interest in improvements if they didn’t own it.
If we do go down, the new stand is still required, as if we return we will still be in the same situation as now and the same struggle will keep on happening.
Parish has many detractors, but he has the right vision about the ground, if Croydon Council object, doubtless some will blame Parish.
