Cooper is the odds on favourite with Skybet and Oddschecker and I sincerely hope that this is not going to be the reality. A most underwhelming scenario.

Bring back Brolin

SP is on the wing throwing step-overs, whilst the rest of us are in the box waiting for a through ball!

(Which is why Wilf is such a good fit this club).

Would you rather we limited ourselves to those out of work managers that were available at the time that Roy told the club he was leaving? I mean, there would be no f***ing around then, job done.

Or more to the point, job done quickly.

Personally, I'd rather the job was done well.

Palace showing the patience to throw the net as wide as it can go before making such a monumental decision doesn't bore me.

Can any of them manager a football club? If not can any of them take a free-kick? Ollie’s Dad, Ash.

I understand your sentiments and agree we need to get this decision spot on. However, having seen Palace p*** about so much, previously, with transfers etc it is understandable why posters are getting frustrated/worried

Again, Everton, Spurs? They are bigger clubs and get first dibs.

Amazing for us older supporters that we are (almost) fishing in the same barrel.

Cooper is now 1/1 with William Hill. If the bookies are any barometer of this stuff then that may well be a pointer?
I don’t know enough about him to have too much of an opinion to be honest.

How long did we spend cocking about before we appointed FDB - hardly a job done properly there eh?

Do you really think we're attractive to any of the names being bandied about recently? They all know we haven't got a pot to piss in and the first team squad needs a major overhaul.

We should have got Howe or Lampard in ages ago (if they'd take the job that is) to work with Roy, get to know the first team players including u23's and u18's, identify what areas we need buy in and also learn how the club works, which would seem sensible to me and offers a smoother transition and have a proper settled pre season for once.

We just seem to fvck about like old ladies all the time, which bores the s*** out me if I'm honest.

Cooper leaves me cold.
It would be a backward step which is not what we need right now - we need to move forward.
I cannot believe that SP thinks that Cooper is the future - at least I hope not!
I would rather have Dougie every day of the week.

Naturally media spout whatever they feel like but apparently Howe doesn't want to come to us whatever happens.
With Dyche likely signing again for Burnley and Nuno thinking about Everton we look to be left out in the cold right now.
Let's hope I am wrong.

I agree , its too big of a job for him , he has no premier league experience and a backward step from Roy . I would rather we stick with Roy .
