As I have stated many times, this is what the HO are up against when trying to remove people. It's disgusting we should send the bill to the idiots on that plane. However this is a mess of the governments on making. Other countries seem to have a fair appeal process that doesn't take forever. This government has been around long enough now to close all the more absurd loopholes and design a system that is fair and not open to abuse.

There has to be some kind of right of appeal but not one that is capable of such exploitation. If my understanding is correct it’s the way the regulations are being interpreted rather than the regulations themselves that is the problem. So revised guidance and withdrawal of legal aid after a decision?
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

So revised guidance and withdrawal of legal aid after a decision? Part of the problem may be that the government had the Human Right Act inshrined into British law; there is therefore little lateral movement away from its wording. Most other EU countries have the act sitting alongside their own laws and is therefore used more for guidance rather than a hard and fast set of rules.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Whilst Labour was happy to bring the Human rights act into law the one right they did not enshrine was freedom of speech. Perhaps because they and the Tories have been intend on taking that away from the rest of us. Edited by Badger11 (19 Nov 2023 2.56pm)

Detention pending removal after that appeal.Certainly removal legal aid unfortunately the HRA supersedes any sensible solution

I believe most of the idiots were Italian and probably not resident here. His offence was not known by them, it was a case of big bad HO treating poor immigrant appallingly

These mealy mouthed lefties still trying to make political gain out of this problem are harming nation states. Britiain has already been irreparably damaged by legal mass immigration and hidden illegal immigration, the size of which one can only guess at.
