If you look at my earlier posts you'd note that I agree with this...and everything should've been managed...but to think that one set of supporters are beyond being moved purely due the the time they've sat there than you're misguided. Just as it is to think that those who have (for this season) paid for their tickets already should be moved. NONE of us have a RIGHT to sit where we want other than for the season/match we've paid for on that basis. So the point i'm getting at is BOTH sides of the argument are puerile at best, but its clear that there's a growing demand for a solution. No more, no less... Perhaps I'm just being pragmatic in seeing past the its my seat and im not giving it up wahhhhhhh, or the I want to sit there and grow the singing base or i'll not support wahhhhhh arguments. Both are self serving.. For what its worth, I'd rip up the seating allocations and have a singing section in each of the stands once (if ever) the new stand is built! Encouraging youngsters to join the fanatics is NOT the only way to get them to watch us. I got into the Palace through being taken to games by my father. He had five brothers who also took my cousins, their in laws and friends children also. As we grew up and married and had children they were introduced to the delights of Selhurst Park and then their children too. We have always been a family friendly club and my families example is, I am certain, just the tip of the iceberg. So in conclusion stop making out the HF is the only way to grow the club's supporter base because it's not.

That is going/gone. The HF or an organised group or some organisation starts it off at n today’ football. The family point only allows you to be that small club when the good times are over, mismanaged or steered into, and actually it’s counting on those offspring actually being within reaching distance or even wanting to come with other options of entertainment that weren’t around in decades past.

The only solution I can see is that HF go back to Block B. Or sit this season out. Have I missed something?

That’s the only solution to this season but it’s probably after the club commit to some sort of investigation into views and options. That’s where it’s stuck I’d expect. The club didn’t do anything and the HF have commented on ‘inaction.’ Until there is some nothing may change.

Edited by Lyons550 (17 Sep 2018 3.03pm) Very well put Lyons 550. As a long term supporter(old bloke), I get people wanting to preserve the history behind a seat that they have sat in for years. However, I would also like to see a singing section and the spread of the atmosphere that this would develop. But, this must be done with all in agreement. The club should never be held to ransom by any group supporters, be it old codgers like me, or the new boys in town. I really like what the HF bring to the club with the displays etc, and hope it can all be sorted amicably. Edited by Flightsequence (18 Sep 2018 10.26am)
