A controversial no-deal Brexit ferry contract awarded to a firm with no ships has been cancelled by the Department for Transport. The decision by the transport secretary, Chris Grayling, to award Seaborne Freight a contract worth £13.8m had attracted widespread criticism. Imagine if all the other pending disasters were cancelled how the UK could return to sanity.

Popular citrus fruit is an obvious one but all of the meat I bought is English as are the vegetables

What did the animals eat? Who dug your potatoes? How much subsidy did the farmer receive? Who drove the lorry? Who owns the supermarket? What nationality was the bloke in the abbatoir? packaging, vets, fertilizers, etc etc. It isn't only manufacturing that involves cross border cooperation.

Although he is right to suggest we are not exactly going to starve to death, I highly doubt any consideration has been given to the actual complexity of the issue judging from the overly simplistic and jaunty response.
