I assume not that well otherwise you’d be pouring all that money into trying to create an alternative non political, utopian system - or maybe just retiring and living like a king, nicely forgetting about your faux rebellious roots. I think that’s more likely. Crypto is here to stay but not in the form you are no doubt heavily invested in. It will become a commoditised controlled system just like every other ‘socially enabling’ technology. Bitcoin itself is flawed, and its goose is cooked. Edited by SW19 CPFC (07 Feb 2019 6.45pm) Yes i was as these things are cyclical. And my 'crypto' investment is doing fine thanks. Throwing a decent chunk at something worth 4dollars at the time and watching it go to 400dollars within a year is hardly painful tbh. I'll take on board your view as it's good to keep an open mind.

Yes yes. Nothing new there, my point was not how and why O sage of truisms, that is indeed hardly bloody rocket science. It's more the fact that you're always peddling a doomsday narrative, and of course you're the only one that can see it coming, everyones an idiot, a sheep, etc. etc. I'm surprised you don't live in a Faraday cage. I'd wager you have a lot of tinned food stuffed away somewhere though. Contemplating a mass solar flare event causes me more concern than yet another crash, no matter how big it is. Blockchain investments are a far better long term strategy – that is where the real future value lies. Not pissing around with worthless tiddlywinks. An open mind is not very useful when you're blind and neurotic. Cheers Bud.

Well it’s at least refreshing to read someone honestly state he doesn’t like the system and where we’re heading but prefers to roll with it and perform in his life the best he can to make the best of it, rather than the usual suspects believe or pretend all is great and Tusk etc are fair and doing what’s necessary. I used to hate the system but decided to give into it more and sell some of my soul as a result but this EU state of nations is taking things too far, just as Tony Blair making big decisions nobody was consulted on and taking us in the direction that I feel is worth making a stand against. Europe and generally people you meet from around Europe are great, and their stories are often interesting, and moreso than plenty of itv viewing numb skulls already here. But I still think making our own decisions and having an effect on our destiny rather than a diluted EU membership vote is worth the effort, time and battle. Europe? Great. EU? Nah. Shame the wannabe Maggie Thatcher wasn’t really ‘a bl00dy difficult woman’ but more a dedicated chief administrator. Feck it I said at the time Andrea Leadsome would be better but she had to put her banking high heeled foot in her mouth to make it easy for May who talks the talk but little else. And of course we’re ruining some young people’s futures by leaving. They ain’t seen nothing yet when they’re parents of young adults if we’re still in the EU. But they feel more European than British so I suppose it’ll be worth it after it was so great for them but the broken bath taps of won’t turn off. Who’s more selfish then?

I will only be tempted to buy extra bog roll and porridge oats. Possibly bananas and oranges and toothpaste although I buy that in relative bulk on special offer anyway. As long as I can have a sh1t without it being before I shower and can have breakfast every morning then there’s no need to panic like all the tw@ts do when there’s 3cm of snow. I’ll never forget years ago seeing some cr@ppy little car full up with sliced bread during a bit of snow. The country is full of wets.

Well certainly not the EU, but seems enough people have fallen for that con. So the powers that be will get off scot free and us peasants pay the price as usual Perhaps that was the idea behind the referendum all along? Very clever.... How can we continue to sell the mob austerity even after 10 years? Blame the EU but campaign to remain because they'll vote other way, reverse psychology, then make a total pigs ear of it, but we can sell them another 10 years of hardship since it was them that voted for it.
