"soaring applications from overseas" Oh. dear. Another nail in the Remainiac coffin. At least we have that huge unemployment and the recession that promised if we voted to leave. And that £4200 I was told it would cost me. I thought you didn't want foreigners here? We're at "breaking point" aren't we? Edited by Pussay Patrol (07 Feb 2019 6.51am)

Anyone got a plan yet? According to Ian Dale on LBC there was a plan. The official Leave campaign produced an 800 page document before the referendum which he has. However he pointed out the Leave campaign was not the government but a pressure group. Cameron and Osborne refused to produce any contingency plans before the vote and slunk away afterwards. So Tusk was partially correct and since we voted the government has failed to produce a post Brexit plan. I have previously said insulting people who voted to leave is not going to win hearts and minds. However he also managed to have a dig at the Remain camp claiming there is no effective leadership, now here I agree with him. In some ways I think he has given Mrs May a gift. If the talks fail she can point the finger at the EU and their intransigence. The smarter move would have been to welcome The PM with warm words then if the talks collapse you can look like the statesman. I think public sympathy is now with Mrs May.

Parliament voted overwhelmingly for Article 50 without any plan whatsoever. The negotiations were supposed to be before Article 50 that was the civil servants advice to government. Public sympathy for them? You must be joking. If only the public could wake up one morning to discover no brexit, they would be 'dancing in the streets'.

And to quote Mr Tusk the Remain leadership is ineffective so no dancing in the streets anytime soon.

The EU is rules based and not designed for countries leaving. Brexit is complicated because the single market is sacrosanct to the EU.

What I don't get my head around are the majority of brexiters who are ardent leave at all costs types, and care not for the consequences. If I voted leave I'd want there to be a proper plan for the transition and a blueprint for the future post Brexit, it's perfectly logical and what government is there to do It's almost as if people want chaos and economic harm, or just happy to cut our noses off to spite our face to stick 2 fingers up to Europe. Why? What do they get out of that? Edited by Pussay Patrol (07 Feb 2019 9.10am)

Thanks see you there then

I support unity not division. Alot of Brexiters such as yourself view our relationship with Europe as a war, them and us. Even if we leave the EU we have to work together and our relationship as amicable as possible. I make no apology for calling out some of these shysters for what they are. They won't be the ones who have to pick up the pieces after the fallout, it will be ordinary people who will pay the price Why do you insist on calling out people who voted for Brexit as shysters? You live in Holland why are you so concerned? Will your work be affected? You won't have to leave Holland

Don’t like or secretly or say they hate Britain or British, think we should and can help everyone else in the world before sorting our own problems or preventing them getting worse, and the freedom to do it whenever in the future. To be what WE want to be.

If you must know I have a house in Warlingham, a mortgage, my daughter still lives there. I'm expat plus I now have to register as a foreigner and which costs me money rather than be a European citizen. From my own point of view I see so many disadvantages but not 1 benefit, maybe cos I don't buy into bulls*** slogans like free from the shackles
