The inaction of the Police was a total and utter disgrace. Edited by Willo (22 Feb 2024 8.45pm) but not surprising sadly, they will say they decided not to do anything for public safety etc etc
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

It's unbelievable, the police allowed an anti semitic slogan to be projected onto the very symbol of British parliament. What is the Jewish community supposed to think after seeing that.

The mass forced migration is starting,.... "A Palestinian refugee is taking legal action against the Home Office over what he says is in effect a refusal to grant visas to his family in Gaza. The Home Office rejected the man's request to allow his wife and four young children to apply for visas without giving fingerprints." (BBC website)

So lets look at the two scenarios. 1. The Speaker pulled this stunt to stop the Labour Party being embarrassed. 2. The Speaker pulled this stunt to 'protect' MP's from the hostile crowds of predominately Muslims outside protesting. LOL. Neither scenario bodes well for the UK. About time for a revolution me thinks. For years Tory politicians have been subjected to harassment, threats and abuse by the left. When this has been pointed out people either laugh, say they deserve it or claim that the Tory is lying. Well now Labour MPs are getting a dose of the same medicine and they don't like it. Turning up at people's homes in a threatening manner is not an acceptable form of protest. I remember the idiots outside Rees Moggs home when he was taking his children to school. He behaved impeccably most of us would have thumped the man who he started talking to his very young son in a disgusting manner. Politicians should be held to account for their decisions but bully boy tactics is not peaceful protest.

To my mind, what we have been witnessing are not 'Protests' but 'Hate marches' with calls for 'Jihad' and 'Intifada' and for the obliteration of Israel. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. The irony of 'from the river to the sea' is that it will happen, it's just that it'll be the Israelis who do it citing self defence. It'll be antisemitic either way as Palestinians, or whatever name they give them, are also Semites. As for the Jews in the UK....for the ordinary Jewish person or the right wing Jewish person? They have my total sympathy and they are right to be angry. Welcome to the party pal....wait till you get sacked for saying 'Jewish lives matter' you'll really enjoy those apples. For the Jewish activists who supported mass immigration and the left's anti white obsession? They are only getting the fruits of their own politics. When it gets too rough they have a home to flee to. After having played a significant role in taking a giant dump in ours. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Feb 2024 8.34am)

Firstly, it was the conservative government who prorogued parliament and suspended democracy, not the speaker. He wanted all three motions to be voted on but Miss Mordaunt withdrew the conservatives and prevented it happening. MPs safety is vital and he acted understandably. Both labour and tory MPs have been subject to attacks, even murders. It is also the government who ordered light shows of the Israel flag projected on to public buildings and supported Netanyahu's genocidal regime. The labour motion is actually good and has international support, but it is far too late to have been of any use. A policy of supporting permanent ceasefire and end of violence from the very start at the UN would have showed judgement. Neither the government or opposition supported that, even such an obvious thing as a ceasefire, was somehow beyond them. If nobody really listens anymore, it is hardly surprising.

I seriously don't get this. The left make great play of how insignificant Britain is, how it isn't really a thing anyway. Look at how you yourself attacked Britain as opposed to the EU, saying that we are completely subservient. Yet when it comes to political tribalism suddenly you think we matter in the world. I put it to you Steely that the rather more honest take that it doesn't matter at all what we say regarding the middle east. The days when what we thought and said mattered were destroyed by both Labour and Conservatives in the 50s and 60s. Something you no doubt agreed with. All this amounts to little more than virtue signalling and to me I just regard it as hubris and thus embarrassing. Just as with all politicians, Israel only care about what their donors say. And even that only goes so far. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Feb 2024 10.07am)

I have just perused the following : "An investigation was launched after activists beamed “From the river to the sea” onto the Elizabeth Tower, which houses Big Ben, on Wednesday night. The Metropolitan Police assessed the incident and found it did not constitute an offence" There you have it - Genocidal messages can be beamed on to an iconic building and it is not an offence. I have nothing further to add.I make rare forays onto the 'News and Politics' discussions, I will now turn my attention back to the 'Football' debates. Edited by Willo (23 Feb 2024 10.20am)

While you'll find no support from me for what Israel has and are doing. I will make the point again that Islam is as one eyed concerning prosecution of other groups as any cyclops you could find. What is being done to them they have done to others. It's just now it's bombs and you have video footage. Edited by Stirlingsays (22 Feb 2024 2.24pm) And how do you thing Christianity spread? Do you really believe that people simply heard the Word and were converted?
