At the end of the day it is pointless people wetting the pants every weekend looking at other teams results and worrying about relegation. There are 38 games in a season and the three weakest teams will be relegated , if we are one of them then so be it . The one downside is that we have the nucleus of a good side but over the years the history books will be littered with teams that were supposedly to good to go down. All i will say is folks go out enjoy xmas and tell yourself its not even halfway through the season , if you want to reach for the anti depressants wait till the end of April

Also think right back is key - just how long have we been saying that..!!

Not to concerned about attacking options - get Olise, Eze, Franca etc.. on the pitch think we will be fine..!!

Disagree, the problem is only 18 goals scored, not 26 conceded, all the players you mentioned are defensive players, not going to help the goals for column, Lerma, Richards, Hughes, Ozoh, jairo are ok for the two DMs we should be playing, yet the four attacking players comprise of Olise, Ayew, Eze, Franca, Edouard and Mateta for 4 positions, not enough

It’s a football forum, are we supposed to ignore our team and just chat about Christmas? We can go on farcebook if we want to do that.

Chalobah on loan from Chelsea would provide cover for defence and holding midfield. I would then try and get a striker and left winger. A right back can wait until the summer.

Sadly, the Championship trio, who prop up the bottom of the table, are beginning to put in some impressive results and if our appallingly dismal run continues, will in all probability,in the relegation mire.
Time for a good window for a change,to ensure this does not happen.

I don't think we will get relegated this season.
Mind you, I said the same about Leicester last season.
They also had good players including Castagne. Ndidi, Teulemans, Maddison and Vardy plus a well regarded manager in Rodgers.
Their players encountered a drop off in form which Rodgers wasn't able to arrest.

Now look at Palace.
I don't think there's any standout Player of Season to date.
Guehi and Anderson both started he season well but their standards have dropped in my view.
Doucoure is out for the season, but in truth when he played he was a shadow of last season's player of the season.
Mitchell and Ward have been inconsistent.
Lerma has looked ok in spells, but has missed games through injury.
Schlupp has also struggled and Eze and Olise have been dogged with injuries.
Edouard and Mateta have shown flashes of form, but too often go absent.
Ayew has been his usual solid self.

Leaving aside what me may or not may do in the January window, we need to see an upturn in the players' form to be like that at the end of the season as opposed to that preceding Vieira's departure.

A relegation battle adds a bit of interest to the season, people are fed up with mid table safety and we arent going to challenge for Europe.

That is a level of excitement that I could do without.

The reality of our situation is we have no home form to rely on for points, and after this past weekend it is Forest and us in the sights of the team below us. Assuming Nuno has a positive impact, we have no serious squad improvement in January and Royball is the order of the day, then we will absolutely be in a relegation battle.

We will finish a comfortable 16th.
Eze and Olise will ask to leave.
For Parrish another season survived on the cheap.

we are only 4 points away from 10th & 6 points from 3rd bottom, so not really pant wetting time yet.

Sometimes I set out for Ludlow
Sometimes I end up in Chepstow
