Rodger’s made a change at half time with Wilf going off and it caught us on the hop. Castagne didn’t move from his half with Wilf on the pitch. I think it was clear to see that PV had run out of ideas and a change was the only way forward. Absolutely massive 3 points today and we deserved nothing less. Good post, agreed. I hope Wilf’s injury isn’t bad.

"I don't think in the four years that I was lucky enough to have worked here before, I ever saw that quality of performance the team gave in first half. That is a credit to the previous manager and the work that has been done with the players," Roy's quote after game

Just seen that with Southampton playing West Ham tomorrow, Leicester will drop to second bottom regardless of the result. A win for either side puts them above Leicester. A draw puts West Ham above (/level) with same GD. Not sure what the goals scored are. But either way, that was a bad result for them today.

He's getting more injuries and although still a brilliant player, no where near the speed and agility he had when he was younger. Plus if he's out for a while, he won't get the move he wants if he's hunting for a trophy. I hope he stays.

Just loved the way we all stayed at full time singing the house down. That today is what Palace is all about and it been AWOL for a fair while. What a brilliant day.

I had a do to attend afterwards hence the very late post. First time in a long time however I had no inclination towards urgency whatsoever to vacate my seat at full time. What a great moment for the fans and hopefully the players too. Still on a high COYP
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

To be fair, Schlupp was responsible for the Leicester goal. Watch the replay, he's standing in no man land and Pirera runs behind him and he doesn't move, until Pirera already has the ball (and then jogs toward him). Mitchell had to pick up the man running down the side, and Guehi and Anderson have to cover the six.

We may never win anything in this league apart from survival but days like are what being a Palace fan is and always has been. We remain and unfashionable club from South London with and old fashioned ground and fan base based on individual family's history of supporting the club. Whatever happens Originally posted by dreamwaverider

well I slept well last night had a drink or 2 , me and my son was jumping in the living room when my man Mat scored , but what a way to start winning ,positive from the start , ok sloppy goal to give but we was always pressing that is the danger , and finally some luck at last hit the post against arsenal hits keeper stays out some how , Eze freekick hits bar and goes in off keepers arse , small things like that helps belief in the team and with the way we played , i always believed we would be ok with games to play 2 more wins and job done , would be nice to win 5 COYP

We all could have done without Bournemouth turning Fulham over! But I guess our future is in our own hands with a few more 'points on the board'.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

With every match now being a cup final for the bottom 9 clubs, I’m pretty sure that won’t be the only unusual result during the run in. You just hope that they don’t all do it at once.
