A pattern with Palace against teams like this we don't turn up.

Time after time we waste chances to gain some points this is really costing us.

0 effort put into this game the manager might as well select people from the crowd you would see far more effort.

Not even sure what tactics we was suppose to be playing either.

I am puzzled again by the team selection this is not against a top team why we wasn't starting with attacking lineup is strange against a team who leak goals.

No point having those youth players on the bench never going to be used.

Players who are not performing need to be dropped I am sick of him selecting favorites Wilf is one of them bring him on later in the game (This is another problem we are predictable)

Wilf can be a match winner and is our top goal scorer, think that answers it.

Not sure it's that simplistic, it's about giving all, for 90 minutes and setting an example to the younger players. Wilf blows hot and cold too much these day's, he should have been running rings around LC today but never really looked interested!

Yes it's beginning to look like that is correct, he certainly lacks the enthusiasm and skills of CG, not sure if he was worth 21m that we are supposed to have paid for him!

I'm still puzzled as to why Jeffrey "I can only pass backwards" Schlupp starts most weeks. So bang average its ridiculous. Hughes and Dacoure should be in the centre. I would take Luka or Jairo over him any day of the week. That was as bad as I've seen in a while. 100% agree that we need a RB. Ward, Schlupp, Luka, Ayew are substitutes at best, although at least Wardy and Ayew put a shift in most weeks

Playing backwards and out from the back seems to be our only game plan these days, we are so slow at moving the ball forward and rarely attack the final third. Our slow playing out from the back allows our defenders to be pressed on the ball and then the panic creeps in and the passing becomes very erratic then giving the ball away much to often.

Our right side with Ayew and Ward was taken to the cleaner's 1st half. No commitment, Guita saved us and 1 shot on target against the bottom team! Schlupp has his moments, but most of the time he jogs around. Olise on the bench?
I would like to see Jairo on Tuesday, and Luka did put in a shift. Just watched the Fulham - Bournemouth match (2-2), we were like a Sunday Pub team compared to them.
We all know that our manager was a great player, but a lot of his input is not up to PL standard.

The more i see the performances, i think that PVs only attribute is attracting players, he was clueless today, the formation is wrong, the substitutes were awful, Wilf and Ayew were pathetic, and Doucoure looks like he is out of his depth in the premiership, he is a yellow card a game, but having said that we need two DMs and Wilf, Eze and Olise need more freedom, i thought Guehi did ok, Andersen was good, Luka and Jairo, Whattt!!!, the front three should all have been changed to Ebiowei, Mateta and Olise at half time, Pathetic.

The system is certainly wrong. No way do we have the players to play 4-3-3. I wish Vieira would start with BOTH Mateta and Edouard up front.
Disagree about Doucoure, who was superb in the Brentford match, both in breaking up play and in his passing.
As for Ayew, he's well worth £2m. You get what you pay for and we've had the best out of him. The game has by-passed Ward for some time now.
Difficult to know what the plan is. Get to 38 points as quickly as possible and then blood some of the Academy players? We have a very poor record of bringing through home-grown talent.

Some might think this ridiculous, but I would start Jairo in centre midfield next to Doucoure with Eze between and in front of those two. Perm any 3 from Zaha, Olise, Ayew, Mateta, Edouard up front.

Primarily we need to stiffen up the centre of midfield. I disagree with those who don’t like Doucoure, I think he has been given a baptism of fire given the absence of Jimmy Mc and has performed admirably. Hughes should possibly be considered for a start too but he wasn’t even in the squad today so is either injured or has upset PV.

Zaha, Eze and Olise need to be told that if they don’t help out with defensive midfield duties then they get subbed off. We can’t keep carrying our silky smooth players just because they are skilful and produce the occasional magic.

Im beginning to think the same.

PV post match comments are worth watching. He says we were playing with the handbrake on and the players need to take more risk. So the question is, who is the driver. I thought it was the manager who tells players to take the hand brake off and put the peddle to the metal. eg take risk. Am I missing something?

Feels a bit harsh i would loved to of seen this in bold.

I really want to know the reasoning behind Wilf’s reluctance to move forward with the ball these days, can only guess at this moment. We’ve seen the best of Ayew lately but the worst today. I like both JPM and Edouard however it felt of little consequence today as we created nothing.

Malcolm looks very much to me the direct player we need at times. With both Wilf and Ayew looking reluctant if not incapable of beating a man. Today felt like a game not only could he have benefited from a run out but it might have done wonders for the team too. I thought Luka and Jairo both did well but that’s only in context of me fearing the worst seeing them both on the pitch. Feels a bit anticlimactic and 2 points lost but not a loss and role on Tuesday and hopefully an acknowledgment of that weak showing with a massive improvement.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

In fairness it’s unusual to have so many poor performances from so many players in one game.
I do have a concern about the paucity of chances that we create and we don’t look being prolific scorers this season.
Even a player with goal scoring nous like prime Glen Murray would struggle to score in our set up as we create so few chances.
To get results we’ll have to rely on a mean defence from our team.
I thought today was crying out for us to try two up front for at least some of the game to put their shaky defence under pressure.
However, we seem wedded to a rigid 433 and when Zaha is off form as in today we can look pretty toothless.

Strange how Jairo hardly gets a look in .. especially at LB with Mitchell struggling recently. Thought he looked decent today when he came on and recall when he last had a run at LB couple years ago he was pretty good.

I'd be happy to see that. I think our ball retention would be better.

Whoever lines up on Tuesday I expect it to be a vast improvement.
