White trim and fuzzy stripes. I love it. Works better than the away kit.

If you think ours is bad, cop a load of l'pools new away kit, to be aired this afternoon in Bangkok v manure
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I think it is hip and groovy, like me
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

I love ours, different and better than some of the previous kits. Macron are okay kits, puma had a shocker a couple of years ago with the three kits that were identical but different colours and the stuck on badges….macron used to be embroidered and looked better.

For two years I haven't bought the first team new kit, Palace play in Red and Blue strips or even Claret and Blue if we are really going back to the earlier days Wonky strips and scribbles don't do it for me.Like others this will be the second year that I don't buy the home kit. It's so disappointing from a financial point of view for the club

Let's be honest, it's an age thing. Based on those I know and have talked to, the younger among us love the kit and the aged (like me) don't. I'm sure there are a few exceptions to the rule but I'm pretty sure that's how it breaks down. I'd be happy if every year the club committed to making one kit that was "modern" and targeted at the tastes of the younger market, and a second kit that nodded towards tradition (as the third kit last year did) and was aimed at the more mature supporter. Perhaps alternate with a traditional home kit one year and a modern one the next, with the reverse for the away kit. That way all tastes could be satisfied and half the fan base (in the case of this year, the older generation) wouldn't be stuck with two unpurchasable kits in the same season. It's not rocket science.

It's not rocket science. I think you've probably nailed it there Syd. Perhaps they could add in a nice wool lining to the 'traditional' kit to keep us oldies warm and healthy through the winter months. And maybe some fur-lined pockets to make sure we keep the circulation going to our extremities.

I like the kit, and I'm pushing 70. It's not MY style, as I tend to like classic stuff so much that I'd gladly see us in white shirts with a red and blue sash every season. Given the economics of selling a different look to the fans each year, though, I think the club did a fine job. And I'll bet it DOES appeal to most young fans – a huge target for sales – and the players. What don't I like? That Macron recycled the home kit design.
