Nothing to do with it has fcuked up lots of businesses? Funny, I cant remember cancellations and queues like this before brexit- perhaps you have a vivid imagination to save the brexit party-we got it done! You mean f***ed up the country bungle?

Do you think covid might have something to do with it. Staff layed off because the companies didn’t want to pay a part of the wages for nothing. Badger is correct and for years we and many countries have lived in a false economy. Cheap labour, cheap travel, cheap fuel, cheap imported goods etc etc. this is actually the real world so suck it up, get on and stop trying to find scape goats. It’s here to stay so adapt!

The 14 k was BA spider, yep, worked there twice, I know about long unsociable hours and crap pay- the TUI chairman said the same thing about brexit.

I know you were talking about BA. You seem to have missed the point of airlines making staff redundant rather than take up the furlough offer! Is that because it has nothing to do with Brexit?
As I previously stated, there was no ban on EU nationals working here, they just had to register and if they were already working and living here it was an easy process. Not Brexit or Boris’s fault if they couldn’t be bothered. There is also the Possibility that those EU workers employed by the airlines are working elsewhere with better t&cs, the airline bosses need to take a long hard look at themselves but they won’t all the time they can blame Boris or Brexit

They say the CONS were to slow in making the decisions, leaving them hanging, just saying.

Absolute rubbish. There were EU Citizens arriving right up to the closing date to register, even those that had not necessarily been living here. They had plenty of time but I know this doesn’t suit your anti- govt agenda.
Still doesn’t explain why your friends in the airline industry chose to lay off staff rather than furlough them, wonder why they did that?
