Delighted for Ebs yesterday.

And it was interesting to hear from Jenas about the severity and impact of the injury Ebs has had. Maybe some on here will stop banging on about why he hasn't been selected for every game.

Thought our best player yesterday was Nat Clyne. Excellent assist for the first goal and his general play was high standard.

Yes, Nat Clyne played very well and with Ward still one year left, Maybe we don't need a new RB, all depends i suppose on the budget, Nketiah free i suspect, Doucoure possibly in, Ayew, Schlupp, Kouyate, Clyne, Kelly, Macca, Tomkins out of contract and Luka, Jairo, Benteke seemingly not wanted, and Edouard? interesting Summer

Agreed - it's time to move some of the fringe players on. I think we can squeeze another year out of the Clyne/Ward RB position and focus on other areas.

Teend to agree with him.

This needing a 20 goal a season striker is such a lazy comment. It's as if they are in abundance and we could get one.

This year there are likely to be 3 players hitting 20 league goals. Salah, Ronaldo and Son.

IF anything it feels like there are less 20 goal strikers than there used to be, with goals being spread amongst the forwards more.

Agreed. We don't need a 20 goal a season striker that is a luxury we need 2 strikers who can get into double figures and the rest of the team chipping in with goals as well.

Rumours Arsenal offering him a new contract. We cant compete with that, even if they don't make the ECL. He has always been there and will likely want to stay. I suspect we will be used as we have been used in the past, i.e., as a device for upping his wages.

But perhaps not all the names listed?

Only Managed to watch the Highlights last night; A couple of things stood out - Obvs starting with the Penalty that wasn't. - the only thing I can think of is (which I disagree with) that it wasn't viewed as 'clear and obvious' - and that particular rule was applied for once. If a Penalty was given by the Ref, VAR wouldn't disallow it either.

Also the free kick which lead to the corner which Lead to their goal where Guehi 'fell on the ball'. How is that a Foul against us? especially when exactly the same think happened a little later and that Was given to us? (think it was Ward? - not shown on the cpfc Extended highlights. have I imagined it ?!)

You are not allowed to deliberately shield the ball & deny an opponent an opportunity to play the ball. Before anyone shouts at me, yes, i know, players do shield the ball when going out for a goal kick, this, believe it or not, is still a foul, just no-one bothers with it anymore.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Much to the fury of a certain relative of mine!!

Very much an 'in-joke' but it's his 'go to' on things wrong with the world when embarking on a drunken, infuriated soliloquy.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
